And here I want a BeQuiet! Silent Wings 3 in white...
ОтветитьThe color has been the only reason why I haven't bought noctua. Deadass number 1 reason. Sorry, but that color is ugly as shit.
ОтветитьHere in France they are both priced in the 28-32€ range, soooo... Noctua is better
ОтветитьAccording to noctuas roadmap
2021 Q3 A12x25 black version and black NH-U12A.
2021 Q4 White fans and next gen 140 mm fan
ThermalFake strikes again
ОтветитьSuppos-ED-ly
NOT
Suppos-EB-ly
seems people dont know that noctua ripped their a12 design from gentle typhoon
ОтветитьSupposedly, not "supposibly"
ОтветитьWhat about the warranty?
ОтветитьThose brown and beige colours are just so awesome.
ОтветитьThe only Noctua fan I've bought was a gray 140mm. Not sure of the model. If it had been beige and brown, I would have chosen a different brand. Great fans, horrible aesthetics.
ОтветитьI've been waiting for the noctua chromax for so long, then last night I saw the TT fans for 16 dollars each on Amazon, it was a no brainer lol
Ответитьnah, one detail renders it completely useless.
it does not lay flat on radiator with all square perimeter, instead it contacts only with a circular tube and the rest leaves gaps for air to escape the radiator obstacle.
You forgot to mention that the noctua got 3x the warranty period, coming in at 6 years.
ОтветитьMy question is longevity. How long before the bearings wear down and stop working.
ОтветитьNoctua shouldn't get butt hurt. The two fans are clearly different and noctua haven't released a black version even though they could.
ОтветитьI think with the Noctuas you are paying for a way superior bearing. SS02 is way better and they come with a 6 year warranty. But the toughfans are too cheap and too similar for most people to pass up. I would tell Noctua to take legal action but they kind of stole the design on the A12's already.
ОтветитьNoctua could be smart about this... bring out a black version and make it much more expensive :) everyone wins... sort of
ОтветитьIt will probably sound stupid, but when building my new PC with glass panel sides, the only reason I didn't go for Noctua was the color...
Ответитьthe austrian are really god with polymer LOL
ОтветитьOh my.. that bass line in the intro 😮👌
Ответитьbig ups on the Hoonigan reference! Keep all the amazing content comin! <3
ОтветитьI still have hope Noctua will release a RGB fan with A12x25 specs....one day 🙏
Ответитьthermaltake copy the lian li o11 please
ОтветитьOf course TT can undercut on the price, they have no R&D overhead to cover, since they stole the damn design.
I'll bet you they'll last a fraction of the longevity of a proper Noctua, too.
bLaCk gOoD bEiGe BaD is such a childish sentiment.
You should go with the Noctua fan. TT is a trash company. Wouldn't surprise me if TT sued Noctua for retroactively copying them for "their" design.
ОтветитьI love how Picard can't even bring himself to look at anything.
All jokes aside, next time I buy new fans for a build, it's going to be a hard choice....
Just kidding, the chromax.black.swaps just came out 6 days ago and the prices of the TT's went up. The price was the only reason to by the TT's and now they have lost that advantage.
2 year warranty vs 6 year warranty, i.e. questionable motor quality, that's a major difference not stated in the video
ОтветитьIt's a joke when a company like Thermaltake can produce a A12x25 in black for us, while Noctua has had major isssues making them in that same color. But wait... All of a sudden after Thermaltakes release of Toughfan, Noctua can produce them in black.. All of a sudden no problem hahahahah xD
Ответить"liquid crystal polymer" aka 20-30% glass fiber fill ABS (note the swirlies). Increases stiffness and reduces thermal expansion rate, which allows for tighter tolerances in the molds. Still not as strong as glass fiber fill PP, PAA or PA6, but ABS is CHEEEEEEEAP comparatively. Any fiber reinforced thermoplastic mold is expensive, and has a shorter life span though.
ОтветитьGentleTyphoon: WAT?
ОтветитьAnd I wonder did the class action go anywhere or did noctua pull the typical noctua procrastination
ОтветитьIf the fan is the same, the only thing that matters is the engine.
ОтветитьLooking for my case fans currently on stock fans. Case is Aorus c700g. Any recommendation for the front 3 fans?
ОтветитьHow haven’t they been sued ? Unless they’re paying royalties to noctua ?
ОтветитьWhen patents run out, this is fine.
ОтветитьDid you notice the Amp draw of one vs the other. The noctua was 140ma the other was 700ma.
Ответитьnoctua just mad cause thermaltake has a 14 ver and they don't yet...
ОтветитьI'll tell you one thing. Noctua here in EU is 32 euros, while Toughfan is 15 euros. So for the price of one Noctua, I can buy 2 Toughfan's, which is what I'm gonna do since I need 3 fans for my rad.
ОтветитьSimply regarding price, does the TT include the resistor or splitter/extension ( I don't know what the Noctua includes with this this particular item). And TT makes quality, but longevity enters into the questions too. BTW, I don't personally care either...bat am always looking to save a buck as well. (Just got a different TT that I haven't installed yet...lol)
ОтветитьTotally late to the party but how do either of these compare to the silentwing pro 4?
ОтветитьWe pay Noctua for the research they've done. Thermaltake just payed some people to reverse-engineer the fan they worked on. Cringe.
Ответитьwhat's their mean time to failure though? My experience with Noctua is that they're pretty reliable. I'd rather have fans that last the full lifetime of my computer rather then having to replace them several times over it's lifetime.
