Damn history homework and the damn watch video and answer questions bs
ОтветитьThe Byzantines asked the Pope for help in their fight against their common enemy: the Muslim Turks who had recently conquered large swaths of land in the Anatolian Peninsula. The Pope saw it as a opportunity to unite the Catholic and Orthodox churches under him and answered the plea of the Eastern Roman Empire. Pope asked the nobles from all of Europe to march into Jerusalem and liberate it from the Muslims who held it for more than four centuries.
ОтветитьThe First Crusade was a success for the Christians: the Crusaders retook all of Palestine, including Jerusalem from the Muslims, while the Eastern Romans successfully recapture the entirety of Western Asia Minor. The Crusader states would continue to exist for at least two hundred years until the Fall of Acre in 1291 by the Mamluk Sultanate of Egypt and Syria.
ОтветитьIn the Pope's speech, he speaks about Romania, yet Romania didn't exist back then, only Moldavia, Wallachia and Transylvania. The union of these 3 provinces will happen hundreds of years later
ОтветитьLyon is pronounced Lie-on, obviously
Ответитьlove the new crusader kings 3 theme and also soundtracks of the game
ОтветитьAfter the speech, as a Muslim, i too wanna liberate eastern curches.
As a Turk i find it racist.
Pope Urban II was nothing but a war lord. At the end of day, the crusadies had been defeated royally with tails tugged between their legs. Of course, after committing countless war crimes against the Muslims, Christians and others.
ОтветитьMedieval propaganda be like:
ОтветитьSo the pope spread fake news and propaganda against the Muslims and the ignorant Christian fascists declared a war on Muslims. Sadly not much has change!🙄
ОтветитьOnly Popes and failed NFL coaches are named Urban.
Ответитьwonder why there were so many rebellions for the romans during this time
ОтветитьWhat a bunch of religious tripe.....
Ответить“GoT house of the dragon“ timeframe
ОтветитьI enjoyed the episode, but the highlight was the Segway to the commercial. British humour at its best 😅
ОтветитьI love this episode, put yourselves in the shoes of the young and impassioned Christian populace of western and Eastern Europe, you’re promised honor and glory for your fight against a force which you have been led to believe is diametrically opposed to you and your ancestors’ foundation. You believe that by partaking in this grand journey you will fulfill a greater purpose than simply meeting your own needs. Your heart is filled with a race of desire for blood and steel, you think of the glory this would bring unto your people and the blooming indulgences that would come of such a passage. Of course you pick up the sword and bear your cross. And you embark on the journey of a lifetime. It’s incredible to think about. Really it is. I won’t sit to say that bloodshed and conflict with all the destruction that follows it is a good thing, but one must admit that the prospect of such an endeavor is an attractive one, and it goes to highlight the importance of unity, and honor in a population to simply do what is bold, and difficult, not what is easy.
ОтветитьCrusades just showed how bored people were, living without purpose. This definitely gave them a purpose, let the violent people go looking for riches in a name of the church.
ОтветитьFor me without a doubt one of, if not your best episode so far. ❤
ОтветитьThe song is from crusader kings 3 i think
ОтветитьI love The vid😁
ОтветитьHis real strength was being a master of propaganda.

ОтветитьMajority of the Europeans may not have been illiterate but they are religious
ОтветитьTurks are not a race of Persians lmao, what was he on about
Ответитьaint religion great😆😅🤣😂😄
ОтветитьCrusader : fight for holy land
Meanwhile muslim : we are defenders of our land
Where was Black Jesus when you needed him?
ОтветитьHistory repeating itself
Ответитьf*ck Alla'h
ОтветитьExcellent 👌
ОтветитьThe cross a crusader was supposed to wear reminds me of the rainbow badges many corporate employees (such as ones working for Ikea and Home Depot) wear as well.
ОтветитьI normally despise advertisements, but in this case, it was perfect. The segue into it was well timed and comical, and the product was befitting the story. Well DONE!
ОтветитьCurse Urban the tw4t!
ОтветитьThe Mass murderer
Ответить🐅🐅Sultan salahuddin ayyubi 🐯🐅🐅
ОтветитьThat sounds way too much like Zionism
