What are your Top 5 movies of 2022?

There are almost no movies worth going to the cinema anymore. This has been the case for over a decade now. How have we as an audience allowed this to happen?

Nope was great but I think Smile is a great horror contender for the year too

I wish people would stop paying lipservice to Get Out. I have never seen so many people cheer for treating a race of people with such monolithic disdain.

I'm British, but I watch so many American movies I'd probably end up dialling 911 instead of 999 in an emergency.

I loved NYC because of all the art house and smaller cinemas showing original stories and low budget and independent films instead of just ten pole films. There is one art house cinema in Shreveport. Over the summer they showed Thor. When I inquired on Facebook why they were showing generic tent pole movies, instead of people understanding my frustration, people defended the theater, who were showing it because it was directed by a former indie director and his success would inspire filmmakers to enter the film festival they host, and was even called a snub. Unfortunately the lockdown killed a lot of small art housed and independent theaters.

I liked get out. But like quentin tarentinos hateful eight, it had a huge plot hole in the middle of the movie that make them both unwatchable more than once.

Of the movies i have seen this year, my top 5 favorites are 1 bullet train. 2 maverick. 3 worlds greatest beer run. 4 the valet. 5 unbearable weight of massive talent . Really surprising that i enjoyed zac effron and nicholas cage in 2022. Maybe it is because the bar has been set so low lately. Haven't seen nope rrr or everything everywhere yet.
