Excellent video, first time I saw someone really giving practical cues beyond just repeating the opencv tutorial. Finally, I found out why the number of checkerboard squares are assigned with a substracted value of 1. Thanks you!
ОтветитьWhy the f*** is this not detailed in the OpenCV tutorials, thank you so much
ОтветитьWhen you measure squares, measure a few of them and divide the value by the number of squares measured. That way you are busting precision by order of magnitude.
ОтветитьInstead of printing a checkerboard and putting it on a piece of cardboard, I recommend getting a solid board (for instance a board from a book case is very handy) and sticking a checkerboard foil on that. You can get rolls of checkerboard pattern from most hardware stores or you can find one online. The benefit of this is that the board is planar and sturdy, much more so than a piece of cardboard. The foil is printed professionally, meaning higher contrast and better resolution.
ОтветитьHello, can I use camera calibration to detect an object in space and locate in 3D space??
ОтветитьCan this be used to find both extrinsic and intrinsic parameters of the Camera?
Ответитьafter calibrated, how we can getting point cloud to reconstruction a image to 3d ?
ОтветитьΜπραβο Γιώργο!
ОтветитьYour tutorial is informative
ОтветитьInstead of making innocent people like us construct a framework for this, why not suggest something more useful like ROS camera calibration ??!! I built the whole stereo calibration thing using openCV but it was terrible, using ROS made it so much easier. :/
Ответитьhello, Is camera calibration performed only for the camera we wish to use for CV or AR application development? Why is that we don't perform camera calibration on day-to-day digital camera? Are they already calibrated? Thanks so much!
ОтветитьHello. I succesfully calculated camera matrix. Also, I succesfully detect aruco marcers and get position of them (translational, rotational vectors). But I have a question...How can I know that camera calibration was succesfull? In tutorials there is a very nice explanation how to do it, but I don't know how to check if calibration parameters are right? How can I test if camera is calibrated correctly and how to visualize calibration effect? Thank YOU!
Ответитьcan u upload your opencv code for all videos about camera calibration.thx
ОтветитьSolved my problem, thanks!
ОтветитьDo you think using an iPad to show the Chessboard would work?
ОтветитьWhere is the part two?
Ответитьit is so great I wish there is more than one part ( actually I need to ask you about the camera calibration parameters " P1 P2 K Fw and Fh " < would you tell me more about what those refer to ?? thank you so much
ОтветитьYour tutorials are great. would love to see some more tutorials on opencv.
Ответитьno part 2?
ОтветитьHello, I'm from Ecuador. Excelente video about calibration camera with OpenCV. Now, When are you going to publish the next video? I have doubts about the values (camera matrix) that I obtain with this calibration.
Thanks for everyone.
