How to make a farm: use a hoe and some dirt in any place, use the hoe on the dirt with a left click like how you strip logs. Make a line of farmland however long you like and plant seeds or whatever crops you find onto the farmland with yet another left click. Use an iron bucket between those lines of farmland to provide water, the water makes the crops grow much faster. And now you should have a farm! :D
