Always Board Never Boring has been thoroughly enjoying Avalon Hill's fifth edition of Talisman the Magical Quest Game, so he was delighted to receive an early review copy of Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons, the first expansion for this new edition.

Talisman Alliances: Fate Beckons is the first fully co-operative expansion for Talisman, and introduces some legacy-style elements in the form of secret components hidden in boxes and envelopes. Lots of fun stuff to go through.

In this video ABNB unboxes the expansion, runs through the new rules and gives his first impressions. This video is as spoiler-free as possible. In an attempt to avoid spoilers, ABNB chose to omit a list of components from this expansion that can be used in regular games. He will go into this in detail in a subsequent video. For now, be aware all five boxes contain useable components, and then there are two spells and four adventure cards that can be shuffled into the relevant decks of the base game.
