what software did you use to display the top left statistics? msi afterburner?
ОтветитьIm looking to buy the game soon but wasnt sure how well it would run for me. I have a 3700x cpu 6750xt gpu 32gb ddr4 and a 1tb gen 3 ssd.
What kinda performance should i be expecting? As there isnt any benchmark videos on the game with my cpu/gpu paring
yea im starting to get tired of tarkov with the constant performance issue. i don't have a streamer pc, and i feel like im being punished for playing a new map
ОтветитьThe thing that bothers me so much about the CPU bottlenecking is that before the game updated to Unity 2019... I didn't have an issue. It ran pretty great, even on Reserve which was at the time the most demanding map... and I have a fucking Ryzen 5 2600... Not exactly an amazing CPU. It's gotten better since then but it has never ran as amazing as it used to. I realize the game has got bigger but I don't understand why THAT update in particular is what made things go from amazing to rock bottom.
ОтветитьHaven't finsihed watching the video but read the description. A comprehensive guide on what settings you should enable for MAXIMUM GPU utilization would be great!
Ответитьfor overall visibility and lod you should actually get a buddy and do some testing on woods, which settings allow you to see them in the sawmill camp from sniper rock without scoping in, or aiming from the green smoke extract towards sawmill beach
in the past i found that lod 3 was necessary to see other players at that distance at all
process lasso isnt crashing my system with a 5800x3d and 4090, HOWEVER it is causing my performance to get roughly 50% loss. Customs goes from a mostly 162 (locked through rivatuner) to 80-120 max. Disabling process lasso and having use physical cores off in game instantly gives me all my performance back.
ОтветитьOne important thing to mention about LOD: setting it to 4 also renders Player models from further away
ОтветитьThank you good sir
Ответитьwhen u are online bots/people 2 of the cores get tanked to 90-99% the rest of the cpu just idle and thats why u get auto cpu bound :/.... bad coding?
ОтветитьCould you make a video on ram ?
Ответитьyour pretty much the onlyone i think will know wtf is going on with my game- it was runnin fine before the past update and now i am getting terible lag and my game crashes almost everytime i try loading in. when i run the debug menu in game it shows my download ping is fine aswell as my upload ping. the game update line however is constantly red and really high and im pretty sure that is causing the other problembs with the game. i myself do no know what the problem might be i have been messing with settings for like 3 days now and its not helping. i would love if you could tell me what you think the prob is- i usually can run the game at 100 plus fps and stream with my usual settings- i have a ryzen 5 and 3060ti 16gb ram if that helps any. and ill join the discord plzz help
Ответить"Only use physical cores" makes no difference to my FPS, but it DOES stop Tarkov from locking up my whole PC when it's loading/being a ridiculous lunatic. For example, when it finally 'hooks' into a game during matching, with only use physical cores off my entire PC would lock up for a couple of moments (it's a good PC), so whatever I'm doing on my second screen would freeze for a second. With it on, I can keep doing whatever on my second screen and be unaffected by Tarkov stuttering about like the decrepit behemoth it is.
ОтветитьIm not sure if you want to try this, but i've decided to overclock my ram and got some nice results, lower latency its what Tarkov likes the most, so i was running a very high latency setting because of mixed ram kits (i had 2x 8Gb + 2x 16gb) running at 3200mhz (from 2400mhz) at 22 CAS, thats high but was the most stable i could get from mixing them, decided to ditch the 2x 8GB and see what i could get from those 2x16 alone, got my CAS lower as 16, the result was REALLY nice! My avarage fps went from 40-50s to consistent 60~ on the lows and up to 80s on Streets! I wish i had a DDR5 kit to check if all that bandwith and high CAS impacts on Tarkov but i still runing a 3800x + 2070!
ОтветитьSwitched to a 5800x 3d and a Rtx 4070… 140 Fps through all Maps no fiddling with settings anymore
ОтветитьW edits/vids very detailed and precise
ОтветитьImagine a day tarky was optimized officially. Imagine the day it had sophisticated AI i.e. gta or red dead. Imagine the day the audio was soooo immersive when you heard a sound you actually knew the area it came from. Fuck the cheater hype or even the gross inertia we still deal with (which if it has to stay it should only effect those who are overweight) but seriously if we could have the game as is with the maps as is and it just be less frusterating to run on your rig, less frusterating to hear, man hell I'd even still settle with all the odd recoil, plus all the cheaters and inertia we got now as stated before. Gimme gimme smooooth operation xoxo. P.s. thanks for vid I'll give some setting changes a go.
Ответитьalso thanks for the videos, they are teaching me quite a bit about how it all works in the back ground
Ответитьhow do you know if your in a bottleneck or not? my cpu is at 30%(7900x) and gpu is about 50%(4090) when I am playing tarkov
ОтветитьIf you're on AMD couldn't you just disable SMT in the BIOS to force only physical cores?
ОтветитьI usually have 40-60% use on GPU and 40% on CPU... what is my scenario?
RTX 2060, R7 3700X, 16GB.
I selected it to use every core, even the virtual ones, in Process Lasso and it gave me more fps on a i7 3770k at 4.2ghz.
Ответитьthank you!!
ОтветитьWould you mind using another font on the bottom axis of the graph it was difficult for myself to read a few things not sure if anyone else has the same issues.
Ответитьgreat video, hope to see your GPU-bound video soon.
ОтветитьBought a 7800xt. Now I'm def cpu bound....
ОтветитьI haven't been able to play this wipe.... something is causing black screen and wiping firmware on gpu's. This has happened 3 times now. Just got new motherboard and cpu hoping this solves problem. EFT's getting expensive...
ОтветитьHey man, great video as always.
I would like to provide constructive criticism:
I do not like these barcharts, as what visually appears to be double the frames, in reality is a ~4fps difference. It is very misleading in my opinion, and while it is true that I can and did interpret the data written, it is still very unintuitive (to me at least).
Edit: I forgot to provide my idea of a fix: simply graph everything from 0.
also dlss uses cpu in itself I recommend just setting it to a lower resolution through actually changing the resolution for the tests it you do do them again unless you saying that was dum dum brain or you meant to say you would rather have us use dlss quality or other similar situations
Ответитьlod increases player model render distance
ОтветитьI prefer to play the grassy wooded maps. And having LOD at 2 is major disadvantage for spotting players at long distance in those maps. If your standing on mountain in woods looking at old saw mill, and a player is at the end of old sawmill in the grass. You will not see them in the high grass at LOD 2 until they move into the road. At LOD 4 you will see them. That's a problem for me. Anisotropic filtering off or per texture actually gives me much better frames than LOD without causing inability to see players.
And just a little tip here, lowering your shadows too much makes things flicker at the shadow edges. Making way more difficult to track movement. I won't lower shadows past medium for this reason.
I think BSG should prioritize game optimization's rather then pushing content for the next bit. This is the reason I stopped playing when streets got released. Having 100+ fps on customs then getting 30-60 fps on streets ruins the experience for me
ОтветитьVery good thank you for video
ОтветитьHave you confirmed whether or not some of the settings will actually not change until you exit game completely and restart?
ОтветитьHey Klem, thx alot for all the work. Whats about the shadow quality? I thought this impacts CPU load also a lot?
ОтветитьIt would be nice if object Level Of Detail actually would be what it says, but, if you turn it on 2, you actually can notice a lot of objects popping in, not even getting rendered at all.
It happened to me a few times, when I ways playing on 2, that I was trying to shoot, lets say, a scav, and I was wondering why he doesn't die or even get hit. Well, turned out there was a solid metal wall barricade on the roof in Reserve, which I couldn't see at all.
I mean, yeah, it gives a good perfomance boost turning it on 2, but bro, if I can't even see 50% of the objects, that's bullshit.
And no, it's not because of my VRAM or whatever you guys try to come up with, tarkov is just still really bad in those things, lets be honest.
I installed Afterburn and tested Lighthouse and Streets. On both maps my game was well within my specs: 12 out of 16 GB of RAM and 9.7 out of 11 GB of VRAM. The problem is that while in every map the game uses the GPU at 99% like it's supposed to be, but on Streets it's on 50-68% and it freezes contantly showing that it's using only 2% when that happens. So... the game stops using the GPU!!! How is that possible? WTF
12700k + 1080ti + 16GB btw
My experiences with Tarkov now on 3 different systems (two different Ryzen based and one intel) is that the game is bound on neither GPU or CPU... it's bound on a total lack of optimization.
The best way to improve Tarkov, in my experience, is to make sure that the game is stored on the fastest SSD you can afford, and make sure that all of your other drives are similar. If you have any spinning drives in your stack, or any external drives (like on USB) disable or remove them. The game seems to have some real issues with loading textures and page files and whatnot.
My current game system is a 5800x, a 3080, and 64gig of fastest DDR4 RAM. The game stresses none of the key components, even when running 1440 mirrored down two paths. The GPU runs reasonably, the CPU runs reasonably, and the whole thing wanders along like nothing. No matter the setting, I cannot get the game to actually use enough resources to make it really matter. I record on a separate PC, but honestly, I could run it on the same one and it would not be an issue, that is how light Tarkov really is now.
I have 16gb of ram and autocleaner would cause my game to freeze and my ping would shoot up when i pause leading to possible lagout. I feel like its 2 issues in one cuz i turned off autocleaner stutters are gone but i still lag out when i press esc every once n awhile
ОтветитьI run this game smoothly with recording software with a i5-7600, so it should run on basically anything.
ОтветитьGod work klem😂❤
Ответитьthanks for this
ОтветитьSo I am one of those unfortunates who are GPU limited. How to make my gpu not try to melt? So far my only solution was to limit my fps to about 80(have to change to 60 for streets) if I leave it on unlimited my card goes to 83 degrees C and throttles itself. Also it smells like cheap plastic because my broke ass bought a gigabyte card like a moron.
