ОтветитьThese cars are one of the few areas in life where the short guy wins...I'm 5'7 maybe 180lbs, I've never run into a car I couldn't comfortably get in and out of. Every car feels like it was made for me. Big and tall guys need to do all sorts of aerobatics. Still, if I could choose I'd still be 6'3!

ОтветитьI'm 5'9" and drive with the windows closed so I won't have a problem with it - just need to arrange a test drive. The dealers in the UK are not helpful so far. 2020 cars with 5,000 mile on the mare 25% off her in the UK so that's the way I am going :)

ОтветитьIts bad, this car is made to be modded it was advertised as a moddable supra for the enthusiasts, then the next year they added about 50 hp and locked the ecu so u cant modify it and people are already having troubles with oil issues so yes they shouldv left the 2020 as is it, alot of people wished they bought they 2020 supra instead

ОтветитьSo, what is a supra supposed to be that this car isn't? People always say that the new supra isn't what a supra should be, but they can never follow up with what they mean. I think the real question to ask with this car is; if BMW can build the supra at 3350lbs, with a factory LSD. Why in the name of sweet baby jesus is the m240i 3870 fucking pounds with smaller rear seats than the outgoing, 400lb lighter m240i!!!
The supra seems to be in a class of it's own. Now more than ever a lightweight, powerful car is hard to find or incredibly expensive. 3350lbs, 450 hp(in reality), front engine, rear wheel drive, good fuel economy, LSD, ability to fit massively wide tires on it, endless tuning abilities. If toyota would have made the supra a full Toyota "supra" it would be in GTR price territory. $100K+ likely heavier, bigger, and maybe a little more powerful but everyone would say "who is buying a 100k Toyota?!" "It's too expensive!" And they would likely still complain that it doesn't have a 2JZ.
The only thing I think they could have done better was the throw a 6 speed in it. I feel like that was BMW and not Toyota though. If you don't mind a 2 seater, and you're of more reasonable proportions I think the supra is the car to buy. I think what BMW has done here is shoot themselves in the foot. They can build lightweight cars that are fast and fun to drive, but they keep making bigger and heavier cars. Why BMW? In reality, the supra is the new z4 m coupe.

I'm not writing this against Matt, I have been following Matt Farah for over a decade easily. It's just that all the mainstream and popular Automobile journalists/Car reviewers talk down on great cars and seem to cry once it goes out of production. Doug talked nonsense about the fk8 civic type-R cause he wasn't invited to their launch or track thingy or something which is the real reason but he disguised it by only picking on its design. But we know the fk8 is a great daily and is fantastic when you want to give it the beans city/track anywhere. Similar story with the LFA. HECK!! similar story with the Carrera GT too. The Toyota A90 is a superb sports car. If you own a mark iv supra-- I agree that you're sad about the name being used in the A90 lol otherwise drive the car for yourself for a couple of days and decide it for yourself. I don't own an A90 but I drove one for a couple of weeks, the b58 in it is iconic af and you're not going to get another great straight 6. the block is so light and made to take mad amounts of abuse.shorter wheelbase than the 86 makes it even more fun with all that power. Also, seriously, Since when a BMW is bad news? LOL. If I can service the only actual sports car BMW ever made in the third millennium at a Toyota service centre..... there's nothing else that's better :P

ОтветитьFor 2021 , they also added extra chassis stiffening bracing . Those 2 metal bars connecting to the rad support.
ОтветитьThe duck in, and duck out part is so true. I hit my head a couple times trying to get in and out of the supra. You may remember it sometimes, but for the most part you tend to forget it and hit your head pretty hard. Except for that, I found the car really spacious and accommodating for 6’ adult.

Ответитьinteresting that an equally priced mustang or camaro isn't even considered when shopping for a low to mid 50k car. an optioned out pp1 mustang or low level mach 1 or a 1le camaro seems like something i'd cross shop to compare against this
ОтветитьWhen this new Supra goes out of production and if Toyota don’t make a replacement, Matt and everyone else will say that this was such a great car and they will be confused why they didn’t make a new one. Just like the old Supra, everyone forgets that nobody really cared about the MK4 supra until years after it was gone.
ОтветитьSo on every review i watch its always, well its not as good as this or that, but this or that costs $20k more. A TTrs is $75k. The LT2 C8 is $75k (before a $10k markup, i guess you could get a base, but ur missing out on so much). The M3 is $90k. The cayman is $75k (no way you want or will find a base version anywhere, and it doesn't have enough power in that trim).
Basically this car competes with nothing, as nothing close in price is close in performance, and nothing close in performance is close in price. One could argue the z400 will compete, but that's a bigger slower car, more gt than roadster.
Once the manual come out, this thing will be untouchable at sub $60k sports cars.
I am 5'9 and I think its too small for me. I am not sure how you are ok going in and out of the supra.
Ответитьa buddy of mine had the same issue with his BM Wupra ... Took it to Toyota and they didn't have any BMW parts for it. Went to BMW and they said its a Toyota Supra (per title) so they can't servce it.

On a car that's controversial of being half bmw w not the best reputation,and half Toyota but yet mostly bmw that has a slue of serious occurring issues on a $60,000 car and pretty good for a $60k car lol??? I'll spare myself the headaches I smell down the road w this and regardless of performance of the engine,who wants to deal w all the hassle and down for 30 to 45days btw when you spend $60k lol? Yea I'll be the wiser and pass I'd rather have a trouble free mx5 6speed rf save myself a wad of cash and have a zippy fun targa roadster that's not in the shop every time I turn side ways I was totally turned off when I heard bmw was involved had TOYOTA made it 100%TOYOTA,I would've had 0 worries n doubts and moved fwd w purchase even yes at $60k it's not the releasing of 60grand,its the releasing of that much to be always worried when taking it out for a drive,makes literally no sense at all to ME.

Comparing these cars is your choice, do your own homework. BTW: most cars in this class deliver 0-60mph numbers close to supercars & they can be driven everyday

ОтветитьI own a 2020 3.0 Supra and I love it I went with the 2020 due to tuning capabilities and the 335 hp is underrated and I got a deal on it. But overall the Supra is amazing
