ОтветитьI wonder if the 272 room isn’t Gaster himself… but his dark yet darker experiment…?
ОтветитьOkay but the bepis thing rlly wasn’t that funny…
ОтветитьUndertale is also an anagram of nudealert
ОтветитьIf you watch the end cutscene for the pacifist route, you'll see the school in deltarune's town near the end, implying that deltarune is, in fact, undertale 2.
ОтветитьIdk what the vid says yet, but there are a few Sans fight facts I discovered a few years ago. I was massively into the lore and I’ve complied a ridiculous amount of facts on this game. I would love to fact check them, but I’m pretty sure they were accurate:
TLDR: Sans bleeds DT, and he probably doesnt die.
Please correct me if I’m wrong on these cause I can’t remember the original sources. I REALLY want to know if these are legit cause they’re pretty game changing.
Interestingly, these two theories potentially cancel each other out, and I’m torn between which I believe. I personally believe he does die, but I am certainly not confident.
Sans and DT:
Apparently, Toby used different shades of red for ketchup and DT in the game. Someone matched the HEX color codes, based on Sans’s ketchup bottle at Grillby’s and the human soul/something about the true labs (tho I personally cannot recall any DT samples visually on screen for the true lab.) According to this post, the ketchup and DT have different HEX codes. The user then matched the red substance Sans bleeds in the fight, and it matched the DT.
I personally understand the ketchup theory, and the second half of this comment kind of supports that. But if the HEX code thing was legit, I seriously think it supports that Sans is either Determined, or consumed DT extract before the fight in hopes of matching the human’s power.
Support for this theory: it is heavily implied that Sans is aware of the true lab experiments on DT. He knows Alphys, and he seems to have a history working at the lab back in (assumably) Gaster’s time. The DT extractor is shaped like a Gaster Blaster, further implying that Gaster performed the DT experiments.
Sans understands timelines, and the power of save/reload. He knows the extent of power humans can wield. He knows that power comes from DT. He also knows where to get it. During his fight with you, he progressively appears “sweaty”/nervous, and there are a couple possibilities there. “Monsters express themselves through magic,” so maybe that’s literally a magical expression of stress. Or, DT melts monsters. He might be starting to melt, like Undyne the Undying (who I think is canonically determined in genocide route), and the amalgamates. We know the effects of DT can have a delayed reaction, based on the true lab entries (the monsters woke up and seemed fine for a while before suddenly melting together). Anyway. All fascinating possibilities.
Other half of this comment:
Sans doesn’t die:
A few of theories go into this one.
Apparently, according to a user I once read, if you have the game stats up when you fight Sans, your kill count does not change after you deal the final blow. Also, as discovered in Snowdin, “sleeping increases your maximum HP!” And Sans sleeps almost constantly. It’s quite possible he has more than his listed Max HP of 1; he might possibly have accumulated enough to survive the human’s attack.
(Someone else has pointed out, you can attack with that much damage, but only deal a fraction of it, if the opponent has a high Defense stat. That’s not clear, and I can’t definitively support it, but it is possible Sans has increased his DF stats with some sort of unseen accessory or armor. Unclear, unprovable, but interesting nonetheless.)
Sans knows full well he cannot stop the human. His special attack is to stall for time, but he knows he’s done for. Why engage in this fight? It’s a last attempt to hit the human’s conscience and get them to reset before it’s too late. It’s do or die. Why would Sans, with so many resources and evident knowledge of DT and humans, go into this fight unprepared? He breaks plenty of fight-etiquette convention already; he attacks you while in the menu box, he takes his turn to sleep, he kills you after sparing you, and he is the first monster to attack you before you have your own first turn. Thus, the ketchup trick gains more credibility.
I’m in Toby’s generation, and though i cannot for the life of me recall the original source, I know there was a fairly popular cinema/media clip where someone takes their death via biting a ketchup packet. Others my age I’ve spoken with seem to distantly recall this trick as well, though none of us remember what from, exactly. So, for me, “why does it come from Sans’s mouth?” Was never a question. It intuitively made the most sense. The HEX color theory might cancel this “he doesn’t die” theory, but maybe it doesn’t— maybe the DT heals him off screen, idk. Here’s the big question:
Is Sans a boss monster?
Because we hear him dust— but we don’t hear his soul shatter like we do with the other boss monsters.
There’s a question for y’all to chew on.
If he IS a boss monster, why don’t we hear his soul shatter?
If he ISNT, then what does that imply about his power? Perhaps that supports the DT theory, that he is not naturally this OP because he isn’t naturally a boss monster.
Idk yall. I had so much fun writing this all up again. I love this game so much. So many characters are so deep, not just Sans. Toby made some spectacular character lore. Please discuss and share your theories, and if anyone can remember these sources PLEASE link me, I want to read them again.
Have a wonderful day, and never forget you are loved <3
