Noire and Pianoteq are my current favs. I really love the sound of the Vi-Labs Modern-D though and might pick it up in the sale. Also, Orange Tree Samples have just released a major update to their Rosewood Grand which sounds lovely! The update is free to v1 owners and am looking forward to trying this one out as well.

Imagiro piano deserves a mention

I agree with the sentiment that VSL pianos are by far the most realistic. I own so many other libraries including the grandeur and hammers and waves, and comparing them to VSL they sound so So much less realistic and convincing, which you can't really discern until you own both of the VSL and other libraries. Also, so many piano comparisons don't get rid of the reverb that's on by default when you load a VSL patch, and you can dig into the mixer mic positions in VSL with more options And Mike positions than any other library in existence.

What midi keyboard do you use?

I see you've reviewed the Max Richter Piano. How does it stack up to others in this list? Do you use it much?

I own the Grandeur and the Gentleman and see you adress the presets of the other plugins, but not of these Native Instrument ones. Maybe it's because the presets are hidden. If you press on the camera they will be shown. The Grandeur and the Gentleman are much more versatile when you use these presets.

No Claire? Noire and Claire have taken over my pianos from Keyscape.

Your playing style is reminiscent of 2 of my favorite pianists. Jordan Rudess and George Winston. The chords and melody that marry impeccably is reminiscent of Winston but your runs with your right that go from 1/8 to 1/16 notes is very Rudess. I am now a subscriber and a fan. What is the best DAW... and us it better to buy a good midi controller with a Fatar keybed fir less than $1000 and sound library library than say a $2150 Yamaha synth?

Your keyboard is set to very sensitive? Noire doesn't normally sound so sparkly.

Hey Sam. You mentioned you have an external hard drive for these libraries. What hard drive do you have? Does it require any specific specifications or formatting? And does the program run directly from the external drive? I want to purchase the CFX Garritan but have no storage space for its large file.

What do you think about the Max Richter Piano by SRM SOUNDS mate?

I can't think of any world where I'd call keyscape not customizeable...Just bc it comes with a lot of shiny sounding presets out of the box?? It also has lots of presets that are customized with different character, AND gives you enough control to customize your own sounds...

Why for me when i connect my fp-10 to my pc with usb and try to play any of these they sound awfull flat low volume and no velocity but when i connect pianoteq 8 on my Ipad it sounds great (the pc version of pianoteq 8 also sound awfull like the others on pc ) Is it my soundcard or something im not doing ?

I have seen you haven´t done any video on the EARTH Piano plugin from Roland, which I find as a solid alternative to Pianoteq and others. Do you know the plug-in?
