To be honest , dunmer and altmer are also racists and to me they had it coming . But as for argonians , all i can say is they are suffering from general elven races behaviour to the nords and humans . I couldn't remember the saying but it involved "some bad apples" .
ОтветитьOhhhh Heimskr was running away from a guard
Ответитьfacts dude, the Stormcloaks are truly the (MUCH) lesser evil to me, the empire is honestly OVERRATED imho, and i hate BOTH the Thalmor AND the imperial legion (i always have and i always will). Stormbros forever 🐻💪🏼💙❄️🏔️
ОтветитьEmpire is like Russia while Stormcloaks are like Ukrainains. Let people determine their future NO TO EMPIRES!!!
ОтветитьHave a happy new year everybody.
ОтветитьI personally don't like the thalmor, legion, or stormcloaks. I usually don't even Join the war, and when I do it's always something I either regret or feel accomplished from. I only join sides for roleplay perspective though, so I don't care much about choosing sides. If I'm playing a Nord with passion of religion, I join the stormcloaks. If I'm playing any race and feel like being a noble warrior, I join the empire. Same goes for the dawnguard dlc and mods like beyond Skyrim and rigmor.
ОтветитьTo everyone arguing about which is better.
for one the game is 10 years old chill, and for two it's a Bethesda game, the chances of any non required choices we make affecting anything in the future is bassically 0, Bethesda doesn't want to invalidate a player base and choice and retcon that stuff, so Skyrim will likely never have a clear winner and some unrelated event will happen in the future to invalidate either choice.
Both choices are valid, and reasonable, and neither of them will affect the future of Skyrim, hell ulfric never even becomes high king no matter what you do. It's a game, have fun with it. It's basically "what flavor of guard and jarl do you want"
The main difference is that the Empire is being forced to stop Talos worship, or be dragged into an unwinnable war. No-one's forcing the Stormcloaks to be racists.
ОтветитьFor the last time, the Empire is forced to adhere to the terms of the White-Gold Concordat. The military situation at the end of the Great War left the Emperor no other option other than to sign it. Why do you think everyone is convinced another war is coming? How could that be so if the Imperial City was a mere puppet of Alinor? Weakening the Empire by supporting the Stormcloaks benefits the Thalmor most in the long term. Hell, the only reason Thalmor Justiciars hold Skyrim under special scrutiny is because of the rebellion.
ОтветитьThe Stormcloak mental gymnastics in this comment section never cease to amaze
ОтветитьIs that a mod to jail Heimskir?
Ответить1. The Dunmer are first class racists who were forced to flee their country due to climate change. They had racial enslavement and were way more supremacists than the Nords.
2. The Dunmer would be a lot more welcomed if they joined the Stormcloaks and fought for her independence and showed their willingness to contribute to Skyrim.
3. The Argonians are prejudiced against and it is simply easier to avoid tension by diminishinh interactions. But, similarily with the Dark Elves, if they joined the Stormcloaks they would also be more accepted.
The Thalmor inquisition wouldn't even hunt down worshippers of Talos if it weren't for Ulfric's uprising. The treaty supposedly outlawed it, but "everyone still had their little shrine at home until the revolt", in the words of the NPCs.
Stormcloaks brought the same tyranny they complain about on themselves AND the whole Skyrim. But hey, if they'd rather pray to Talos while they get slaughtered by the Thalmor in the coming war, instead of being patient and standing with a rebuilt Empire who may actually have a chance to topple the White-Gold Concordat, I won't be the one to stop them.
Really makes me wish they kept in cut civil content. Like a Thalmor inquistor patroling every Imperial controlled city. Galmar and the player publicly executing Thalmor inquisitors when cities are taken and Thalmor publicly taking away all the Talos worshippers in every city. Kinda like how Brunwulf would convert the temple of Talos into a Thalmor outpost if Imperials took the city.
ОтветитьIt's not even nearly similar to racism that exists irl. In skyrim, the world was always split up between the races, the races have been in homogeneous groups, and each race has objectively different capabilities. To any race it is reasonable to believe that if this individual is of x racebthat is different from his, then he is of x group belonging. And groups have clearly defined relationships and agreements. It's really stupid to use the same term in an incomparable, fictional scenario, and it feels like it devalues the real world meaning of the word.
Same as religious persecution - in Skyrim, deities objectively exist and have a real impact, therefore it is reasonable to act based on that fact - incomparable to the real world. I know you're not directly comparing, but using the same words, especially today when they're connected to so much turmoil and controversy, implies the comparison.
The racism bit is a bit overblown, mainly from your first encounter in Windhelm with the Nords harassing that one Dunmer lady.
Even Ulfric is tolerant enough to offer you a position in his army if you're an elf.
But to say that the Imperials are actively prosecuting Talos worshippers is, similarly, overblown. The truth being that even 30 years after the Great War, you'll still find a lot of Imperials who do worship Talos as a divine, they just keep it to themselves to respect the treaty.
The difference being, the Imperials are willing to suffer the indignity of the WGC as long as it stays the peace and buys the Empire more time to recover, only doing the bare minimum to keep the facade up and often overlooking Talos worship when they could. The Stormcloaks on the other hand either do not understand the situation or are too proud and stubborn to bend the knee, in their eyes, they could've easily won the war after Red Ring, not realising the devastation that Cyrodil had suffered or the lack of resource and manpower to properly continue the war. And the Emperor accepting the WGC was nothing more than an affront to the sacrifices they've made and a betrayal to both Skyrim and Talos.
"Let me show you the power of my ass man! Breathe now! Embrace the mighty Tacos!"
ОтветитьThe difference is that the Stormcloaks dont really care as long as you show your loyalty while the Imperials will turn you over to the Thalmor.
Ответить"Let me show you the power of Talos..." *teleports
ОтветитьWhat’s the first thing you see when walking into Windhelm? Left that part out. Instead you showed two examples of elves working their ass off so they’d STOP getting harassed. What’s that word where you judge someone before any prior experiences?
“I guess you’re one of the good ones.” Isn’t a very good picture to paint.
While the religious persecution of the empire is the result of a treaty needed to end a continent sized war. A war the empire lost.
People forget that the Elves (except the Tree Reverse Vegans ones) enslaved every race even the Nords and that's why most Nords have this strong hatred towards the Dunmar & Thalmor. The Empire in the other hand kinda decided to kneel down to the Elfs since they were tired of war and wanted peace which shows how weak they have become but its understandable since they were about to crumble. While the Stormcloaks reason of fighting is because 1. The Imperial basically lie to them and they rebel since the Empire didn't keep their promise. 2. The Thalmor would slowly kill them one by one or even by 100 later by creating fake excuses for execution. This is pretty common throughout Classic ~ Medieval ages, were if you want to get rid of a entire race you make them submit and kill the ones who keep up the culture alive. Turks, Romans & Spain did this heavily. So the Thalmor would of done the same and just turn the Nords into just another Imperial. The Dunmer however hate the High Elfs so...even if the Stormcloaks loose many would escape were the Dunmar are and the Thalmor would consequently force the Dunmar & Nords to have a strong bound and maybe working together to defeat the Thalmor. Creating a New enemy while the Imperial might have another civil war between them off, if they should help the Thalmor or help the new alliance of Nords & Dunmar. Since the Thalmor basically made enemies with every race except the Neutral Khajiit.
ОтветитьPeople need to understand the racism aspect is entirely different to our understanding. Nords by definition is more historical then just the urge to call someone a "grey-skin" Great houses of Morrowind practice slavery (slaving nords and other races) and the whole Dagoth Ur and Shor Heart (our version of Jesus) has caused enmity between the two. Now the whole refugee crisis that Red mountain has brought hundreds. Yet Solitude doesn't even attempt to take even one Dark Elf (they have none) as well Hjaalmarch, and Markarth. Only Whiterun. Before the civil war, when things was stable and easily accessible traveling between the holds.
Ответить"Mr. Dragonborn, I don't feel so good..."
gets snapped
Skyrim will get doomed if it gets independent from the empire ,
Let's say that storm cloaks win the war and the imperial forces retreat completely
The aldmeri dominion would shred Skyrim to it's core
Storm cloaks couldn't win with just courage and bad equipment
Well this video is obviously a biased opinion...
ОтветитьThe best part is no matter what race you are, Lucia still asks if you'll be her mom or dad.
ОтветитьIronically 2/3 High Elves merchants live in Windhelm
ОтветитьMost merchants in Windhelm aren't nords
ОтветитьFaithless Imperials!
