I own a 22 SE
I may be wrong but I believe it's a 2500lb winch and only LED in the lower headlights not the pod
I'd love to see a video of what machines each DT staff member put down their Jing on and owns and why they chose that brand/model
ОтветитьIt would be nice if my left leg wouldn't get soaked every time I went through a puddle
ОтветитьThis is off topic but my father just purchased a used 22 sportsman 850 ultimate trail with 240 miles on it from a dealer. We brought it home and parked it and then loaded it up next day and took it to the closest trails to home an hour away. We unloaded it on our tilt bed snowmobile trailer and the second it was in flat ground again it threw up engine lights and was idling but revving down when giving gas but not moving in gear. My dad called the dealer and was told to try spark plugs and it worked at clearing the codes and rode it around the trail head fine but decided to not risk riding it on the trails. Brought it home and unloaded it and it happened again. I don’t think it’s the spark plugs but really that just cleared it from throwing the code again at the time. Pretty upsetting I think more from the dealer end of things but I need any suggestions to help my dad out here so he doesn’t get screwed. I feel really bad given the fact I’m the one who convinced him to go get a more powerful atv from his 450 and I just need help so I can suggest to the dealer what to fix as they are going to take a look. Really hoping they make things right. Thanks folks
ОтветитьThe winch is also added. It is not standard on the SE, that is only on the XTR. Maybe a difference in market areas?
ОтветитьNice video DT Crew ! Being a Grizzly owner and fan there is only so much you can say about the "new" model...... it's the same as the old one with new colors haha I do like the new color scheme, I love the 700 single, it does everything I need it to do and keeps the machine light and nimble in the trails. I don't think it's even close, they have the best belt drive in the game.
I find it very smooth drive and love having the ability to lock the front differential with a push of a button and Not with a limited slip or with the lever like Kawasaki ATV's (and Not AWD haha)
Anyway thanks for the video ! Cheers !
I love it
However I have been looking for the color Camo or Green or Black and it seems, the 2023 grizzly 700 only comes in with the same in the video
Might have to settle with it if in February 2023 I don’t find my preferred color
Thanks a lot, Dirt Trax, your videos are always excellent ! I wish you will post a video of a comparision, overview and riding test between this Grizzly 700 and the Kodiak 700 eps SE 2023. It would be very cool to know the real differencies we can feel when riding each one in several situations. Is the Kodiak only for work and definitely less capable for fun and leisure riding than the Grizzly ? I definitely think no. It would be very interesting to have both at the same time to compare really. Personally, I had a 2019 Grizzly 700 eps and felt it too big, heavy and wide, I prefered my 2019 Kodiak 450 eps because I felt more confidence on it, and I always enjoyed leisure riding with the 450 Kodiak eps ! I hope you will make a deep comparision between the 2023 700 Grizzly and Kodiak eps, and I'm sure the Kodiak will be very capable for fun ! Thanks Luke !
ОтветитьDo people actually prefer plastic racks over metal???? but why???
ОтветитьI’m totally fine with not making a 1000 Grizz and leaving that to CanAm and Polaris, but Yamaha definitely could give her an 850 twin and still keep their legendary reliability. The 686 is getting way past tired at this point.
ОтветитьI love the grizz. But cmon Yamaha. Time to get with the times..
ОтветитьI like the grizzly, they have great ergos . But wish Yamaha would pull up their socks and add a multi cylinder engine with 1000cc to get competitive again
ОтветитьNice video!! always excellent ! Need to try this, cause lot of ppl say this is a great atv...
ОтветитьYamaha has plain given up on ATV's.
Same tired unrefined 686 single. Ho Hum!
Yamaha has so many good newer engines. Or how about a new V-twin with low end and good mid-range?
Killer Review as usual.....
ОтветитьI'm in the market for an atv I really like the yamaha grizzly but can 2 people ride comfortably. I'm also looking at the can am outlander 1000xmr max and it comes with a small seat for the rider. I don't know if yamaha offers that or not.
ОтветитьI been watching you guys for years and I think you guys are the best at giving info out there and Dirt obsession are doing a great job also .. keep up the great work
Ответитьi am back in the process of buying a new quad. Not going for big bad ass motor and cc torque but Reliability and Comfort of ride. You talked about a softer, thicker seat cushion helped sell me on the Grizzly. Being i am much older and don't have the body mobility to mess around with breakdown while out on the trail, this machine seems 100% perfect. I have owned a 05' 700 King Quad, 17' 750 Brute Force, and a 16' 700 Grizzly. The 23' Grizzly seat upgrade pushed me back to Yamaha. Yes, a nice softer seat.
ОтветитьI had a 21 outlander 850 and traded it for a 22 grizzly .. I loved the vtwin especially the sound but found it was just to much for the slower trails I ride in and was jerky on and off the throttle .. I admit I bought into the horse power hype and I was wrong in doing so.. it’s not all about power in fact I believe for a trail bike the grizzly has the best balanced power for the trails and you do feel the weight difference and it’s more nimble than my outlander . I believe it’s better in every way except a straight line .. easier to work on by a long shot and just way more reliable .. A very close second would be the king quad witch I drive quite a bit as my neighbour has one .. but as usual when comparing these models people tend to mention hp or witch one is faster but in my opinion the fastest bikes are not the best bikes .. just my opinion
ОтветитьI wish yamaha had a two up legal
ОтветитьSo is it a limited slip or a full lock in differential where the front 2 tires rotate and spin at the same time?
ОтветитьThey are way to much money now they want over 16.000 thousand for one plus tax like that nuts and that price was just the other day right here in Ontario
ОтветитьI absolutely like the different brake action. Especially if you don't make it up a hill and need to go backwards down a hill in reverse. Just use the front brakes... try that on a Polaris
ОтветитьIs the LED pod light an upgrade? My '21 has a halogen in the pod. I replaced it with a automotive LED bulb but the bean is less focused. I read somewhere that's due to the reflector being the wrong shape for an LED. Maybe Yamaha has finally fixed that in the '23?
ОтветитьInfo on the storage box?
ОтветитьI really wish you guys would do a detailed review on the Kodiak 700 and compare it to this grizzly. I had a 16 Grizzly which is pretty much the same. Got rid of it but I'm thinking of getting another one but I think the Kodiak would be a better machine. But I would need to ride the 2 sxs to see. Absolutely loved the plush seat and suspension, it was also good for aggressive riding and catching some air. Don't think I ever bottomed those shocks out. Also really liked the power steering. My main concern with a Kodiak is if the suspension is as plush as a Grizzly and how it would do with more aggressive riding like I was able to do with the grizzly?
ОтветитьSo great review I love the grizzly we've owned the same 660 now since 2003 it has over 13000 kms on it we trail ride we use it to plow three driveways that are about 150 ft each and every year we haul home about 12 cords of firewood with it. No engine trouble no transmission, nothing has been changed on that bike for us and now I'm in the market for my own im stuck between grizzly or can am especially since can am just launched the new single cylinder. Love the tests and reviews keep up the great work.
ОтветитьGreat Video , by far that’s my Favorite ATV. second place belongs to the Arctic Cat 600 Black Hills edition
ОтветитьJust picked up a 23' camo. Installed a vrx3500,hand thumb warmer, winshield, extra front led s,heated seat and 27" trail trooper s.
ОтветитьHey Dirt Trax great video! Could you provide some information on the storage box, thanks!
ОтветитьNice quad. Really would buy one with the 850 Twin in it 🤩.
ОтветитьThose front " gear grippers " looks like its a gun rack to me , as a hunter
Ответитьpicking one up on monday!
ОтветитьNice video I wish they would come out with a two up model
ОтветитьA quick question. Though I watch the vast majority of your videos as you post them, this one included I have a question. Having just recently bought a box like yours. Do you have a plug for the hole in the box? If yes I’d love to see a picture. Yamaha and my dealer said the box doesn’t come with a plug. Yet I have chatted with people on social media who claimed they did receive a plug for the hole in the box. Thank you ahead of time for any time you grant me. Love and never miss your show.
ОтветитьLost me when he called it a bike. Correct me if I'm wrong please, but isn't a bike always a two wheeler? Genuinely asking.
ОтветитьThey call it mid night blue Luke the colour pick mine up Friday
ОтветитьGreat quads !! But it’s time for a change !! And a update !! Let’s see a new version and 850 motor !!! Or 1000 !! Like there new sxs machines
ОтветитьMan I seen one today exactly same and loved it
ОтветитьGrizzly is a fantastic atv but it def could be a 800 or 850cc they haven’t done much to change it in years !!
Ответитьits yam not yammmm lol
ОтветитьAlmost all video reviews of the Grizzly 700 say the same thing. They talk about how there are no changes and say they outdated. But the grizzly is designed to do what it does and it does it well. That 700 single and their brands in that class is the highest group of quad sales. It’s what the average quad owners want and need. That’s why these manufacturers stick with this platform because it is best suited for the majority of quad riders. Sure you can get more power with twin cylinder engines and they are great for the mudders turning bigger wheels in the sloppy stuff. But in most cases 850 or 1000cc engines are to much for the average trail rider. Even though the price of the Grizzly has gone up quite a bit in the last couple years, so have the big bore machines. Those 1000cc quads are getting close to 20k out the door. These 700 cc singles just work and they have all the amenities to accomplish almost any task and have fun.
ОтветитьYou riding an ATV and don't like wet feet wear rubber boots problem solved
ОтветитьThat's what I do
ОтветитьUnless it's summer I wear my old motor cross Boots
ОтветитьIf you watch Grizzly videos and read the reviews it's obvious why Yamaha doesn't ever change the Griz and that's because they have such a loyal fan base they don't need to, Grizzly fans will keep buying it no matter what. Yamaha changes a little thing here or there and puts it out on the market
ОтветитьBeen thinking about about a griz for a retirement present for myself. Might even weld up some stainless racks for the fun of it.
ОтветитьI'm about to buy a Grizzly after fifteen years on a Honda Rancher. I know this video is a year old, but I'd like to know if that front bumper was available through Yamaha or was it another manufacturer like Moose or some other.
Ответить
