This one is so powerful. And this video is 6 years old. damn m learning so late.
ОтветитьThank you for this! I'm literally screaming with joy over being able to get the nested columns done.
ОтветитьThank you so much, it was great and super clear.
ОтветитьNice content . Please always share your dataset so that we can practice along
ОтветитьHi Mynda, thanks for the inspiring training. I could not download the workbook, could you pls help to share the new link to download. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI don't find the exercise sheet in download link
ОтветитьThank you so much
Ответитьthank you so much. from your presentation I have found solutions from my bottleneck facing in day to day work
ОтветитьWatched again after using power query for at least two months almost daily.
ОтветитьGreat video thank you 😊 do you have any videos on how to deal with repeating data/stacked rows where there are not always the same amount of rows for each set, or where some sets have blank entries (so using fill up would bring through an incorrect entry from the record below it)
ОтветитьDear Mynda, You must be awarded the Accounting Data Cleaning Nobel Prize for this video at the very least! Thanks! :-)
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you for sharing 😅
ОтветитьI think I love you!
ОтветитьAwesome
Ответитьthis was a game changer when i learned about it.
ОтветитьI watched this video 5 years ago and today it helped me with a task. These videos never lose their relevance. Thank you Mynda
ОтветитьI searched the last scenario for days and you finally show me how to do it. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat video. Very helpful
Ответить👍🇮🇳
ОтветитьGlad I came across your examples. It gave me an idea how to deal with some messy tabulated data similar to the second example however, my dilemma is that instead of just numbers, the values below the columns include text strings. For example, column 1 is the unique audit id, column 2 is the score for parameter 1, column 3 is the comment for parameter 1, column 4 is the score for parameter 2, column 5 is the comment for parameter 2, and so on and so forth. I have 7 parameters in total. I need the data to be in rows in a way that I have all the scores in 1 column but still with the comments beside them. I'll try to experiment using the steps you shared and hopefully be able to figure it out.
ОтветитьHi Mynda. This is a great tutorial and just what I was looking for to solve some data issues at my workplace.
I have another question on a similar problem. How do i unpivot if i have repeated rows but also have data across multiple columns that need unpivoting. e.g. in your first example, what if you also had the same table repeated for multiple countries one below the other and we needed to add the country name in one column while unpivoting the rest of the columns for each table. Do you have a solution for that? Would be a great help to be able to learn that
❤❤❤
ОтветитьHi, do you have any video that explains how to unpivot multiple columns? I have a data table with a column for each of the three machines, with each having separate machine hours. It also has columns for two different types of sales (in dollars) and two different columns for two types of labour hours and lastly 6 columns for different products with their corresponding daily units. I'm struggling to unpivot the columns without mixing everything up.
ОтветитьExcelente.
Ответитьwow
ОтветитьAwesome. You are a magician!
ОтветитьWow ❤ It is amazing how you have shared such valuable knowledge with everyone. Thank you so much. The internet thrives because of people like you.
Ответитьluv you
ОтветитьWow - the download file is awesome! Best I have ever seen / just went through all the examples with 100% success rate!
ОтветитьMy data is like the final example but it has formulas in it? How can I fix it. I have data from 2019.
Ответитьgrateful Mynda for these amazing excel tips. you are kind
ОтветитьMunda can you share few ideas on how to make simple quick crossward games for children or even for adults for office collaborative fun calls to get everyone thinking and share a laughter moment s.
Ответитьfor the last example, Im curious why you didn't just remove NULL for all the columns instead of filling up?
ОтветитьYou don't know Dear,
how much you save my times?
Thank You soo much.
I don't like email fishing to get the file.
ОтветитьThe best and easy to understand video on this topic! thank you so much
ОтветитьI LOVE these videos!! Thank you so much
ОтветитьI want to show data from my power query in a pivot format, My requirements are:
Hour wise – Available, Sales, Balance (available – Sales) for the month, i.e.
0700-0800 - Available
Sales
Balance
0800-0900 Available
Sales
Balance
And the Columns will have dates from 1-31.
The Total in end also needs to show some data date-wise, Please advice.
Great video! I currently have to work with documents that are formatted where there are repeated tables separated by blank row and the next tables "category". The category text is entered in the same column as each item description. I want to unpivot that so that there is a row with the category for each of the items listed in that table. It's similar but too different from any of these examples. It's killing me to manually add a new column, copy and paste that category text next to all of the items in that subtable. I don't know if I'm doing a great job explaining it. I do love that you went through these common scenarios! Thanks so much for the share.
ОтветитьAmazing!! I loved this video. I have just one question. I have a sheet with some columns with two headers and others with one. The problem is that de data below the two headers are two kind of data too, like city and zip code. Can someone help me with this? Thanks😀😀
ОтветитьCan't find a guide when there is column one with months (That repeat Jan-Dec then again Jan-Dec etc) and then a row on top with years 2015-2022 and those repeat)
ОтветитьThe best from thailand
Ответитьgreat presenter, thank you so much
ОтветитьBrilliant video, some of the data we get from third parties is something I'd be ashamed to send out myself! This is the perfect antidote to fix it. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for your work and the information. What is the reason an index column was used?
Ответитьthis video really help. I work with Excel everyday and am slowly transitioning to power query to make things more automatic. thank you !!
ОтветитьThis is amazing. Thank you!
