What Is the Best Food for Betta Fish?

That betta is soo healthy! Especially for an old age betta too!!

one of my betta seems to been feeded all his life with flakes because he refuses to eat pellets, my other betta loves pellets and insects but this one is like "i only eat flakes dont give me anything else"

I live in the Yucatan peninsula (tropical weather). We have a lot of mosquitoes, I left a bit of water on purpose to see if I'd get mosquito larvas, today there were several and I gave them to my fish, he enjoyed hunting them and chasing them, but now I'm worried after seeing your video, has anyone done this?!

I know this is a 4 year old video but, another brand of insect food pellet that I found is Tropical Insect Menu. The pellets do sink eventually but they float quite a while imo. Also buy size S , as size XXS is too small, my betta doesn’t see and it now I have a ton of pellets i can’t use 😅

Baby white cloud minnow, feels horrible but you should see him hunt.

We just got two betta’s in their own tanks of course. I watched this video shortly after getting them and picked up some bloodworms to add to their diet. I tried 3 separate times with both fish and neither one of them would eat them 😅 It was tetra brand freeze dried bloodworms. It’s all that was on the shell at the time. Do you think it could be a brand preference for them? I haven’t purchased anything else new yet since the last jar went in the garbage 😅 I wanted to try the hikari but before I bought it, I wondered what your experience is with refused foods 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ether way i’ll try to make my betta’s diet as varied as possible when ever I get one even with the limited supply of foods

Mine won't eat at all. Tried every type of food there is, except live insects. He just spits it all out, or refuses it outright. Shrimp, bloodworms, tiny pellets, flakes...😢

I put my Betas outside in a bird bath that had mosquito larvae in it. They went absolutely bonkers!! They were some ever HAPPY fish later when I put 'em back in their home! They even thanked me and asked.... Dad, When can we do that again? I said "Tomorrow"! They said "what's That". I said "Soon". They said "OK" .Then they said, "Is it soon now?" I said ,"Go to sleep.".......They did!

My betta loves Hikari! doesn’t want much else

Mine seems to love eating cucumber. I sometimes drop in a bit to supplement my mystery snail and guppies' diet along with other things and Blu has been such a food hog.
