When I was watching this video, my eyes filled up with tears, as an Armenian we went through so much pain and suffering. My grand grandfather was preacher, when Turk officers tried to humiliate my grand grandfather, they offered him Muslim Quran and Christian Bible, they asked him to kiss the Quran and through bible under his foot, he took Christian bible kissed and through away Muslim Quran, on the spot Turkish officer cut his head off. By grandfather was only seven years old, he was hiding in the closet, he saw what Turks did to his father. By seven years old he followed other refugees just by eating earth worms and grass just to survive he reached current Iraq, the one was controlled by British government, he was excepted to Armenian orphanage. Sadly my grandfather couldn’t remember their family name, they asked my grandfather what kind of job his father did for survival, because Turks didn’t allowed Armenian people practice their religion, my grand grandfather was working also jewelry, and that’s how got stuck my last name Turkish language means jewelry worker. I want to check my DNA hopefully I will find out, if any far relatives survived or not and what was our family name.

Our memorial to the victims of the Armenian genocide is called "Swallows Fortress" because a swallow always returns to its nest even if its home has been destroyed.

Armenia’s geographic position has always been the reason for its shortcomings throughout history. At the same time I’m proud to say that Armenians have been in those highlands for so long it’s as if they were born from the stones in those highlands. They managed to keep their identity and religion despite all the invasions and genocide and a little bit of what Armenia used to be as a country.

Armenians do not have a historical national unity among themselves. The dominant elements within the Armenian society, the Bakraduni, are of Jewish origin and their lineage reaches back to Prophet David. The Mamigonians are Turanians. The Arshaks are Iranians. The Ardzırunis claim to be of Assyrian origin. The Amadunis, Abahunis, Suniks and Vahevunis are the real owners of Armenia.

It's never more apparent as an American how easy it is to learn history of our country compared to that of ancient countries like Armenia.

I still wonder to this day how this people still exist with the same identity, culture and religion after almost 2000 years.
