To dry clothes in that washer/dryer you need to put it on setting 11 and then choose either iron dry, hanger dry,or the wardrobe dry setting...or instead you can choose the 40,60 etc minute drying cycle.
I know because i have the same washer dryer.
You are braver than me, I haven't attempted such a task, mind you I don't need to 😅 Well done! 🙋♀️🇬🇧
ОтветитьThe satisfaction of successfully squeezing your car into a tight parking space - then realising that you cannot open the doors!
ОтветитьAre you coming to Scotland?
ОтветитьIt takes wonderful American people like you to really appreciate this beautiful island. Most English people seem to just take it for granted.
ОтветитьI believe what you have there is an ale, great driving skills. Richmond is the best place to go for a London experience pub. Fullers is an old grain house that has been giving pints for 100 odd years for the south of London.
ОтветитьLondon zzzzzzzzz boring
ОтветитьI have never driven in London and I live in the UK!!! Edinburgh yes, Cardiff yes, but London takes a lot of courage! Especially central London! I wouldn't recommend hiring a car from the centre of any city in the UK if you aren't used to driving on our roads.
ОтветитьBorn and raised in London and I’m impressed. A lot of folk outside of London dread or avoid driving into London so Kudos
ОтветитьI’ve drove a semi truck through New York City and I don’t think I’d be driving a mini cooper through London.
Ответитьyou two are a cute couple
Ответитьdriving in central when you've never even driven in england before ? holy fk you are one brave woman
Ответить"Hopefully not many roundabouts in the country"--LOL
ОтветитьWhat is that series you mentioned filmed in richmond also did you visit york those old streets are amazing
ОтветитьOnce you get used to it, it’s easy
ОтветитьIt's not that big a deal really; it's more in the head than anything else. I travel to Spain and France regularly and have to switch sides when driving. After a minute or so, it feels normal. The biggest problem Americans will have in the UK is the size of the roads when not on the motorways. Many roads here are very narrow compared to US roads, and it's really important to adjust your driving speed to take that into consideration (British people do). Many locals who know these roads well will often drive too fast on them themselves; don't try and keep up. I've seen videos of Americans going far too fast on these narrow roads thinking it's more about getting used to driving on the right-hand side. No, you have to slow down and drive very carefully on these roads, don't worry about the people behind you.
Ответитьgreat couple and I
enjoyed the video...
Turn signals are for EVERY OTHER ROAD USER, including pedestrians, because they may want to cross the road or BE crossing the road, so they count. As far as driving goes, always use signals, changing lanes, ready to turn, whatever, because you then merely get in that habit, and never once have to think about it. And you look, signal, look and change lanes, then STOP SIGNALLING when you complete your manoeuvre. You look to see if it is safe to signal, you signal to show INTENT, and look before and while manoevering to ensure a silly other person isn't paying attention. Being in the right doesn't make you invulnerable. But if you always signal, it doesn't matter if you missed someone, and if you did, at least with a correct signal, that other driver, when avoiding a collision, knows what you intend to do, and so can work out where to go to avoid a crash.
ОтветитьYou use "turn signals" whenever you are thinking about turning over someone's path. Indicators are used to indicate
ОтветитьLived in London for 37 years and never knew it was the Elizabeth tower lol. We just call it Big Ben
ОтветитьWell done. No fear.
Ответитьthe little cupboard symbol on your washer dryer is for allowing the clothes to be dried fully so you can just put them away, this only works on some of the programmed settings, also the temperature gauge is set really low on your machine so it wont get hot enough anyhow, its hard to tell but it looks like you have the machine on programme 3 or 2 that should have worked if the temp was set higher
ОтветитьThey must have been crapping their pants driving on the opposite side of the road is weird.
Ответитьso Why doesn't the man drive?
ОтветитьThis should not be allowed
ОтветитьI'm from UK I recommend the shard instead of London eye. Book before sunset and see London for hours night and day from what ever angle you want.also tallest building in Weston Europe.
ОтветитьPlanning to visit Bath, Cotswolds, Stonehenge and London. It has been suggested first day of jet lag to start in Bath. Should train threre from airport or rent a car from the airport?
ОтветитьOpposite side of the car and opposite side of the road. I really think I would struggle with that. It was tough trying to walk and look the proper way without being mowed down.
ОтветитьYou’re braver than I am. I live in Surrey just outside the m25 and I will do everything possible to avoid driving in Central London. People drive quite aggressively round here too. You notice it driving down from the north as soon as you get to the outskirts.
Ответитьme and my mum drive to london all the time for her job, i only go with her to help her with charging, (she has a tesla) and we don’t dare driving in central london, we just dump the car at a slow charger in the outskirts and take the tube in. well done.
ОтветитьThere is one really weird thing on the road outside of London….the Magic Roundabout which is in Swindon if memory serves it consists of multiple roundabouts in one big constellation type roundabout…..that one is the stuff of legends, even for U.K. people.
ОтветитьOK - I'm 10 seconds in and so far all I can say is props for you driving in London!!!
ОтветитьThe Lanes in the UK should work as follows What you're calling the slow lane, is lane 1. This is where all traffic should be unless overtaking or moving over to allow traffic to join from slip roads. The other 2 lanes are simply overtaking lanes.
ОтветитьWell done driving on the opposite side you are used too is hard enough but doing it in a manual car is even harder...🎉
ОтветитьYou guys are not tourists, you are honorary Brits now !! 🤗👍
ОтветитьThe London Eye is expensive but isn't everything these days !! I went on the LE for part of my 50th , 7 years ago now, yikes !! it is a great experience as you can see all across London . Watching lots of your videos now, what a lovely couple, welcome to the UK, glad you like it guys ! You are the kind of people we want here, nuff said !
ОтветитьWhat a fuss. We swap sides routinely when on holiday. Its really nothing special.
Ответитьmeet I would be on the wrong side of the road for sure at some point
ОтветитьYou are so brave to drive through London, I would avoid that experience at all costs well done.
ОтветитьNear side and off side
Near side is nearest to the pavement or verge and is the driving lane. Off side is far away from the pavement or verge and is for passing
Nah, leave the London Eye to the suckers who have more money than sense! 🙂 As to driving, you did really well. One tip - if in doubt, driver is always in the middle of the road. I guess you will have come across more challenging roads (no white markings, grass down the middle etc;) down in the south-west, so somehow London seems easy right :-). Accommodation... lots of folks spend way to much on places to stay when all you need is a somewhere to rest your head - and a loo/shower. You will almost always be asleep more than awake so why go oveer the top, paying more for things you don't need :-) I really enjoy your vids btw. 🙂
ОтветитьI have to ask, do you find it better to have someone with you while driving the first time in the UK? Or do you think a person traveling alone can do it? I am intending to go back to the UK by myself but thinking of renting a car.
ОтветитьTip for signals - in the UK< You're supposed to check mirrors, then signal, then move if safe. If not safe when you check your mirrors, you're supposed to wait until it is safe before putting your signal on, to avoid someone slamming on their brakes or taking evasive action because they think you're about to drive into them. There are exceptions, such as putting your signal in heavy traffic and usually someone will let you change lanes, but I'm not sure about London as apparently it's awful to drive in. Just don't do the American thing of putting your signal on and barreling into the other lane regardless of whether it's safe.
ОтветитьHaha just call it Big Ben, we all do 😂
ОтветитьThe London eye isn't that important to go on, I think it's too overpriced for what it is. You can go to sky gardens for free for practically the same view near tower bridge.
ОтветитьI do not drive at all.
Ответитьi remember when i was in Vietnam the hard part of driving on the wrong side of the road forgot to say i'm an Aussie i penedhad come to a t junction turned right and i was looking at cars and trucks coming at me i was on the wrong side thats the only thing that happened .
ОтветитьLondon pride the west pint going
Ответить
