Looking into getting this game to relive my childhood a bit and was wondering if the greenery is like optional. Fallout 3 was supposed to take place 20 years after a nuclear bombs went off that destroyed the entire world irradiating everything. The dark dreary no green all trashed environment was iconic in setting the scene and vibe of the whole game. The green just really offputs it for me and kinda ruins the entire ascetic of the game. Wanted to use a graphics mod but dont want that.

Nope. This mod makes dark areas way too dark and other stuff have too much of an orange tint. It should ease up a bit on the greenery too.

Weird... Modded Rivet City gives me the feeling I am in a huge ship, but original RC looks like a cathedral.

If you ask me if i liked this mod 2 years ago i would say "No! Because there's too much vegetation' But today after playing a lot metro and learn that the nature just doesn't care to us, every sigle piece of grass in a post apocalyptic game is a remember that we doesn't matter to nature and in the end it will find a way to keep going

Apparently, no trees were actually harmed during the apocalypse.

I remember installing a mod that made the night so dark almost like natural but ruined gameplay.

mods look unrealistic. Stones are not rainbow color.. stones are GREY.

Why would there be fully grown trees in a wasteland? Just because it looks cool doesn't mean its a good graphics mod. It has to make sense with the game and story too.

Ik you wont reply but I'm getting really weird artifacts, faces are distorting, and there's a big green 2d square in the middle of megaton's cell. Can anybody help?

Original better in almost every single comparison.

OG is better graphically. We only need 4k textures and realistic/smooth animations mod.

Im not a fan of the new lighting... they made it too "pretty"... its a post-apocayptic world, it shouldnt looks pretty

Do they have mods that increase the detail without changing the color pallet? Like yellows shouldnt turn to whites etc.

I like the style but takes away the green aesthetics, trees shouldn't be there and should remain dead, takes away from the atmosphere of both the entire game and one area cough oasis cough

I hate these trees, they’re just not realistic.

I feel like it makes the outside parts better but the inside parts worse. Oddly, character models and fire look worse too.

Those ENB modifications always look ugly..

I can do this all just with reshade

Horrifying in the worst of ways.
It seems that most modders confuse enhancing contrast and saturation with "better graphics".
It looks like the vault dweller has cataracts and daltonism.

Na the Original looks better, the atmosphere is way better with these Dark Colors and the foggy look

The green drab and dead trees were intentional artistic choices to convey the post apocalypse and devastating desolation, but this is a cool rework

Literally worse in a lot of situations. What's up with the ship? All that happens is it turns more blue and the rust disappears. The rust needs to be there.
