White People over here trying to colonize the internet.

SCAM! I’ve been a client of GoDaddy for 10 plus years. Their customer service has always been terrible. I use the basic Linux hosting, not the one they are always trying to up sell you too. In fact I’m sure they want to get rid of all their old customers who are on the basic and more cost effective plans. Recently, due to theft, I needed to update my payment details but I’m not in Australia and don’t have access to my Australian phone number as used for the two factor authentication. I tried to remove the 2FA but they took so long that my payment became overdue. This morning I discovered my accounts suspended and my main domain up for sale to the highest bidder. Six hours and four illiterate help desk personnel later and I have no improvement. This is going to cost my business dearly. I had been planning of cutting ties with GoDaddy but got lazy. Don’t let this happen to you.

I browsed the web about GoDaddy, and I find it hard to understand because there's way to many options, it never caught my learning. Then bumped into this video. Now I can fully digest all of the necessary information about GoDaddy. Thanks for this video, it was way too helpful.

Avoid GoDaddy for reseller accounts, you have to pay for one year, and after 2 months they shut down your reseller account and never fixed it after I require my money back they told me I have to cancel my reseller and they return my money when I authorize I receive an e-mail the money for the rest of 10 months is not refundable, and I have to turn on again that scam reseller account, later I start receiving emails of my privacy domains was cancel, because they want it doesn't matter if I pay

Godaddy it's a scam provider..... just been charged today of 1 year plan 174 euro.... i wrongly downgraded my plan clicking downgrade... and tried many times to convince the support it has been an error and if they can restore my plan i paid for.... and no chance.... they asked me to pay again one year the service i'v been charged today.... it's a scam

I'm a programmer of 30 years experience and although GoDaddy is excellent for hosting a website, I highly recommend you don't use it for registering a domain name.
I have on more than one occasion used GoDaddy's web page to check if my great name is available. So I type it into GoDaddy's checker and get the response "Your name is not registered and is available to buy."
Excellent! So I proceed to GoDaddy's purchase page to buy it. But when I get to that page and enter payment details, GoDaddy suddenly tells me my name is not available. What? Your site just told me it was! So I then visit the website of the name I was trying to buy and there's a message saying "This domain has just been registered".
It was less than 30 seconds between seeing the two conflicting messages, I don't believe anyone else could have registered the name in that time and certainly not the two other times this happened.
So what is my deduction? If GoDaddy sees your name may be a valuable domain name, it automatically registers it for GoDaddy itself before you can.

You people are thieves and steel domain names directly after someone has done a search on the GD website. For anyone not believing me. Go do a search on on their website that is available and do the search at least three time. Wait a few days and you'll see it's taken an see who is the registra. Surprise surprise it's GD. Stop using this platform for name searches. They will of course deny it but go and search on the website of how often this happen on GD. You'll be shocked as to the corruption going on there. Their hole goal is to extort you later if you want to buy it and you need to use their broker. Doddgy company

GoDaddy customer support just claimed that a domain name REGISTRAR and website HOST are the same thing!! The short version is bc the overseas broken english support is so pushed to sell sell sell & upgrade, they are USELESS as tech/customer support. NEVER use godaddy! I won't even get into the business email nightmares over the years. 10/10 support persons (who are really sales) say they "did a reset" and give it 24 hours, bc it's never-explained outtages (you find out by the isitdownnow website).
GoDaddy owes me SO much time and tylenol.
For the sake of your future sanity & productivity, spare yourself ever buying ANYTHING from godaddy. I don't want to see anymore victims. One dude even had a site for awhile "hategodaddy" dot com or something like that.
I want to pie the VP Operations, VP Sales and Director of Customer Service (IF they even have one) right in their faces.
