Mine was a bit different but I figured out how to get the .cst file into logic. However I get nothing when trying to trigger it. Record button is on. Nothing. I dragged about 15 guitar samples from my Downloads folder into the Performance window (where - not how) you directed. The files were not on my desktop. What am I doing wrong? Do they have to come from my desktop? If I double click on any of the files in the Performance folder, I get an error saying Logic can't open the file.

This helped up until the “channel strip” setting. You don’t just have it if you haven’t don’t it before
