Quite luxury is trends without logos that go in and out of style.
Old money is timeless clothing that worked 100 years ago, works now and will work 100 years from now. But old money has the tradition as you said.

I grew up in New England, and I love quiet elegance. I refuse to purchase logo items. I find excellent quality without having Versace, Fendi, etc. I learned from my aunt's. One aunt would have me come over and go shopping in her closet. She had some amazing fashions. She was ahead of her time!

I'm old casual, wearing the same T-shirts with cheesy slogan and denim jeans for 20 years

The old money people I have met tend to wear good quality classic items that are neither trendy or dated, and wear them until they fall apart- and beyond.

I'm probably missing the luxury point but I dress in this style but buy my clothes second hand from vinted. There's plenty of new/barely worn linen and beautiful fabrics out there.

Listen. I love the concept of quiet luxury because I don't like flexing on people but I still do like nice things for myself. Quiet luxury is the best for that because it's a "iykyk" thing and not everyone is gonna now that the bag you're wearing cost 2k because it has NO logos but the quality is great!

Old money is culture for wealthy white demographics. I've noticed that ABIPOC with a sense of inherited practices have a much easier time entering into high society regardless of racial biases.

I also find that's part of the distain, they have all of this and they didn't need money or colonialism to hold on to it. 😅 They have an untouchable pride in themselves from it.
So being a service staff to those folk doesn't hurt the way it would for someone who is isn't as lucky.

Old money = wear good quality clothes but doesn’t have to be high end brand .. just good quality brands and timeless … and clothes transfer from grandparents to grandkids .

If you know you know. Old money always looks comfortable in what they are wearing. A tiara or jeans. They know what to wear and when and how to wear their clothes. It has nothing to do with any particular style or color. The items they wear look well cared for and they look well groomed. End of story.

Dolce&gabbana all the way. Whatever quiet blah blah blah , as long as i still with these two, taste and aesthetic guaranteed !

Quiet luxury does not use labels.....it is not necessary.

I study the cycles of astrology and in a few months we will shift from Capricorn ( economic structure bug buisness hierarchy snd status) to Aquarius ♒️ ( community technology humanity ai) I think we will see a drastic shift in how we approach fashion and asthetics… maybe even having technology incorporated clothing? Who knows! :)

People is being obsessed with this Old Money term, its highly absurd how average income people can be so superficial to fake and imitate this style to feel relevant and a part of a lifestyle they originally don't belong. Its absolute garbage this society.

Its not quiet luxury if its zara, then its just minimalistic. I hate it that people made a whole personal style into a trend, not some pieces or part of the identify but just the whole looks. So in 2y when its not trendy anymore everyone can throw away their whole wardrobe which is the opposite of what people with this personal styles do

This is why people hate "rich" people, this level of pretentiousness and belief in things that have NO bearing on reality and the world.
