Thanks so much. Great info!
ОтветитьThank you for this video! It's super helpful! ❤
ОтветитьSandals are not exactly like orthopedic shoes. The latter are rarely available in nude color. After getting type 1 diabetes as a seven-year-old just over 57 years ago, the foot problems came. I'm short, but I use the shoes that are available for my feet. I don't care what other people say I should wear.
ОтветитьKnees Are not pretty, capris in my opinion, look better
ОтветитьNo no😮 shorts for over 50 60 70. No 👎
ОтветитьI like beautiful clothes, I like, seeing others wearing beautiful clothes. But most of all I like dressing in a way that enhances the best part of me because that makes me feel good. I never get dressed thinking oh, what will the clerk who is ringing up my eggs think of my outfit. I think, I look good and I feel proud of myself because I put in the effort. Nothing brings down your self-esteem like looking as if you don’t care, you just want to be comfortable. Comfort and style work hand-in-hand. No matter if you’re a size 2 or a size 22 it’s probably comfortable wearing a burlap bag. That doesn’t mean it does anything to make you feel good about yourself. If you’re dressing to get a guy or to make the right friends or just to have people envy you, then you’re not dressing for the right person. It should be for you. No matter your size or age.
ОтветитьI live in Florida. I live in capris. But I like them loose at the calf. I wear long flowing blouses with them. I look awful in shorts. But I am down 52 pounds and now aiming to lose the next 50. So shorts some day. I do like the sandal idea however. I always look for V neck but a plus is V neck and butterfly sleeves.
ОтветитьI love capris 😊!
ОтветитьI’m sorry but I’m thinner than Cathy and I would never wear white shorts or pants. Maybe a shirt but not pants or shorts. I don’t think they look flattering at all with a tummy.
ОтветитьYou are awesome! Thank you so much!!
ОтветитьIf you want more modesty with V necks, you can add a "modesty panel" across the bottom third or so of the V neck in the color of your skin tone and you'll still get the flattering look of a V neck. I have a wrap dress with a DEEP V neck and added a modesty panel. It fits so great I didn't want to get rid of it because it was a deeper V neck than I like!
ОтветитьYour comments are great but I don’t agree with everything one I am LDS and I wear garments so they come down to my knee. My inseam is 24 inches number two I know you care but honestly if you’re over 30 no one likes no one cares I am 69 years old I wear what’s comfortable not always what is looks stylish like I said no one looks. No one cares you have to dress for you not for anyone else whether it’s in or not.
ОтветитьJust found your channel & love it. Absolutely love the black wrap dress on you!!
ОтветитьSuper🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🇩🇰🎉🎉🎉😻🎉
ОтветитьLikewise, no one insisted you watch this video, or any other video……free choice
ОтветитьAwesome thanks
ОтветитьMiddle aged overweight women should not wear shorts at all if they want to look elegant, as shorts are inherently not elegant and are also mainly meant for children and men.
Try Palazzo trousers, made of a thin viscose fabric. At least just as cool and way more feminin.
Since I turned 50 I could give two shits what other people think about my clothing choices.
Ответитьlove the shorts, but how can I stop them from going up between my legs when walking? it's so uncomfortable!
ОтветитьI've watched Cathys videos more than once sure not everything will work for me , but boy have I learned a lot. Thanks Cathy. I also share your links to gals in my fashion groups. As Cathy is real everyday life, not like those sitting in fancy restaurants in high rises. Where would I go in a pair of High Heels, Cathy is real life. If she doesn';t have anything for you go else where , she didn't say you have to follow her.
ОтветитьDon't stop sharing we need you !!!
ОтветитьSo many of you people commenting either didn't watch the video or, you did but you are ignorant. She never told anyone what to wear. She is simply showing how something looks on particular body types. If you don't care about how you look, Why watch? And then comment how you don't care and you will wear what you want. Fine. Do that. No one really cares.
ОтветитьThese are great tips but nothing takes the place of actually getting thinner
ОтветитьGreat tips!
Ответить1 million views. Wow Cathy!
ОтветитьYour tips are fantastic! People, view the advice and adjust to yourselves. I have found soft, light weight, flowing material for capris
length is flattering and here in Florida, cool and comfortable. Modified v neck top or boat neck are also flattering and comfortable for all face shapes.
I did enjoy your video but I'm only 5'1 and yes its hard to find the right style for me.. I really don't like short shorts for me because of my veins in my legs. and also I like to find tops with the s
square necks .. One thing that I did like which i no your right is my bra's .. I had a girl measure me and she said she would get the Right bra to wear. WELLL she brought me the right size But the bra
was so pointed in the front that it was not my cup of tea. anyhow I will keep looking for the right dress that wraps around the waist. that's a good idea..
Shorts ride up between my legs. That is not flattering! Hence, Bermuda shorts. I have learned that capris need to be either above or below the widest part of the calf, which emphasizes the width
ОтветитьLove these tips
ОтветитьI have thin calves like Meghan Markle so I like capris.
ОтветитьThanks I can see the difference it made V-neck n a good bra, blessing to you ,keep it up.
ОтветитьExcellent tips! To the point and relevant, thank you .
ОтветитьShorts on women over 40 doesn't look good. Capri should be wider. I don't think T-shirt looks good on an apple shaped body eather, but I'm not American and maybe we think and see different on clothes.
ОтветитьYour tips have nothing to do with apple shaped bodies. Apple shaped doesn’t mean short or petite or short legs. It’s about where you carry your weight.
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьAwesome video! What useful, easy-to-wear advice! Thank you so much Cathy these are helping me look and feel better. New subscriber! 😊
ОтветитьSandle I can not wear do to falling. Shorts creep up. Top with v neck nope no breast.
ОтветитьYeah……they should ban capris for anyone who isn’t tall and thin. I see some terrible sights in the summer in NC. Maybe women just wear them because they’re cooler or more comfortable but…….I wish they would look in the mirror before going outside! 🥴
ОтветитьI’m 70……next month. If I wear a V neck top, what do I do with my saggy, wrinkled neckline? 😢. I’m fair skinned and don’t have a lot of wrinkles. I’ve never been in the sun …….. as a sun-bather but, I just don’t feel comfortable in a V neck at my age. I prefer crew neck tops. Just sayin’
ОтветитьSo, if you don’t like the ideas, no one cares
ОтветитьI am 75, and short, and very heavy. There is no way in this world, that I would wear shorts. I am careful to wear clothing , that is appropriate for my age, and body size. I have to be honest, an apple shaped body, which I am, looks heavy, no matter what we wear. I wear all different types of clothing, according to my body shape; and I always look heavy. There is no way of hiding it. I always make sure that I look as good as possible, when I go out, but I still look heavy, and so does everyone else, that is my age, with an apple shape.
ОтветитьI’m 73, live in hot hot Florida. I don’t care I’ll wear what I’m comfortable in. Nothing tight fitting, correct size.
ОтветитьYou are fabulous!❤
ОтветитьWow! Great advice ! You look great! I am also wondering how i ended up with so many capris! 😂
ОтветитьGood advice but I have ugly legs. Nothing really looks good so I like to wear a length that covers below my knee.
ОтветитьMost Capri pants end up near my ankles, anyway. Funny thing is that I wear those and shoes and end up with a really weird tan line around my ankles. Looks like I haven't washed my ankles
ОтветитьI find Bermuda shorts just below the knee are the most flattering, but they have to be sort of wide legged not tight, I only wear above the knee shorts at home. I’m apple shaped & only 5’4” I used to have a waist not anymore lol. I love bell bottoms because I feel they balance my thick mid section, no leggings or skinny jeans that’s my rule. I love the wrap dress you showed & I agree with you about the neckline. I never ever wear T-shirts they make me look frumpy
ОтветитьI want those shorts but the link you have says no longer available 😢so what now?
ОтветитьI'm surprised at so many negative comments on here. I wonder why those people watched your video. What were they expecting - obviously tips on how to look slimmer, but they don't like your tips. Surely they didn't expect you to just say wear what you like, wear what you feel comfortable in. I don't understand them.
