普通、列車の交換区間(行き違い区間)だと、先発列車が対向列車が来るまで、停止信号が現示されるから、停止して待つのではないのか？
日本の鉄道で、単線区間での駅や信号場での行き違いの場合、先着列車が対向列車が交換区間に入り、先の単線区間が開通するまで停車するけど。

Why doesn't the Engine have security measures like a forced brake if the train driver isn't responsing within 2 or 3 mins? In Germany we have a system called "Sifa" which basically stops the train if the train driver doesn't response within 30seconds to the locomotive

That locomotive went super on that car.

I love this film. Denzel and Chris Pine work really good together, love seeing Jessy Schram, Rosario, Kevin Dunn, Kevin Chapman, Kevin Corrigan and Lew Temple, and I think it's just really well made and emotional in a few parts.

I didn't care for this movie because too many things is wrong with the they did them that seen would have derailed because the switch is in the wrong precision.

Seems dramatic as rail fan...When one train entering loop line,other train enters main line..how come, points gets changed when train is on track...

Well, they just lost their Fred. Train somehow didn’t bust so I guess every car was bled off which is slightly unsafe.

"Guilty pleasure" marred by "convenient" writing/directing. I think I even bought the DVD, but contrived suspense was only watchable because of Denzel Washington and Chris Pine's performances. Biggest flaws: They ignore that the original engineer could board the train at BACK steps of the 1st engine or either end of the 2nd engine, then walk to the cab of the 1st engine.🙄 Likewise, when guy on a truck tries to board, again, they ignore any other boarding point but the front of the engine.😳 THESE were just "no-brainers" (both action and the writers). If you can overlook the plot flaws, Denzel & Chris deliver a good ride. 🙂

This Movie was Intense I saw this in Theaters little did I realize this would be one of Tony Scott's Final Films before he Passed away.... Tony Scott you made one of the Most Action Packed Train Movies we've ever seen yet!
