Vizio M261VP No Picture No Backlight Diagonisis Repair

Same model, same problem. But it power cycled my TV. I turned it off, unplugged it from the wall and pressed & held the power button on the TV for 30 seconds. Waited 30 minutes and plugged it back to the wall socket. The power light started blinking off and on and I waited until it stopped. When it blinked off, I turned the TV on and everything was okay!

Have Sony Bravia, replaced T-con,power board and main board still get polarized picture and double image🥴🥴🥴😢😢😢😢

I lose sound on this modle alot.. I did alll the trouble shootting also for it. I mean lots of stuff .. even dumb things... It comes and does as it pleases... Was out for 2 days i had it on while looking up stuff on it. and it just kicked in.. I had to unplug it though.. It again never came bad... I am guessing it might be a bad connection or something to do with the mother board. . (OH i also messed with audio the two features under where you turn the sound off and on. When i turn off them on and off it makes a little tick noise from the speakers,,, When i turn off the speackers and mess with the 2 options on and off.. i hear nothing.. .. of couse .. so any idea.. Heck i cant even get the back off this this.. all screws out also... but gotta do what you said in a comment here.. but if you have any idea please let me know

Hope you’ll see my comment. I found a tv on the side if the road and I really want to fix it. It’s an insignia ns-50D40SNA14. Every time, it turns on fine but after around 30 seconds, the backlight dies. Hope you can help.

Do you know what would cause no stanby power on a TV I have no 5V standby..

Sorry if this is a stupid question. But how did you get the back off? There are the two screws in the bottom corner (Left and Right), the screw in the middle of the VESA, and a screw near the usb input. Is that it or is there another screw I'm not seeing?

Thanks for this vid. I just now finished up repairing mine. It was actually just the closest group of LEDs not working and I found a cracked joint from connector to pad.
I carefully reflowed the solder the best I could with a needle tip iron.. not easy to do! Then figured it would probably hold better if I bridged to the pin right next to it, which was from the same channel on the main PCB where the other end of that ribbon cable is.
Apparently there's only two pairs of LED groups that all current sink ground to two different points on the main PCB, then all four groups share the same + voltage.
My guess is you need to sink current for only one pair of group to one ground and the second pair to the remaining ground.. if you dont, the led's may be too dim from not enough current provided by the single ground.
Anyhow.. I am good to go for awhile. I chose to keep the connector in place for now and not cut up/solder in directly the ribbon cable.

Thanks that did the trick. The led strip lite up but I damaged it when reassembling the back. Must have shorted a wire. The led strip is very hard to find and I need another one. Any advice? Amtran and VizParts were no help.
