Ответитьso dev branch actually work or its just lossless scaling? im still use profiling performance branch
ОтветитьLossless Scaling is extremely underrated. It literally adds Frame Generation to any game and upscales any old games!
ОтветитьSo only speaking from my personal experience and experimentation with this, I haven't spent much time reading up on other people's findings. I run a pretty dated pc at this point, and what I found was that the upscaler gives you the best results in terms of making games feel naturally improved and helps if you have games that you just want to get up to 60fps @1080 , where the frame generation seems best for when you are already able to run a game at least at 60fps and want to have a smoother experience on a screen with higher refresh, say 120,144 ect. As you mentioned in the video, if you are not running at 60 to begin with, you start seeing a lot of artifacts, and sometimes gives you that same motion sickness that you might get from motion blur
ОтветитьWhen did they update?
ОтветитьAnd what about latensy? How much it adds?
ОтветитьLossless Scaling sales boutta blow up with this one
Ответитьdoes it make sense with a 1080p monitor or is the upscaling then too mushy?
ОтветитьThere is still ghosting and blurriness. Honestly I prefer a crisp image (especially for Arma) than more FPS.
Ответитьuse geforce now 10bucks for a month no FPS problems
Ответитьwhats the render latency like?
Ответитьbased
ОтветитьSo there is a CPU problem in arma's engine and and they made an update that doesnt fix it. And then you install lossless scaling which is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the video and also its a GPU thing. And then you title the video "they finally fixed arma fps" like wtf is this trash clickbait.
ОтветитьI have a 4070 Super and arma with no update sucks in the FPS
Ответить...they didn't add multithreading to the game entirely... they just did it for physx. Which is physics simulation stuff....
ОтветитьI like how the thumbnail just has more vibrance to show the more fps.
ОтветитьMe when clickbait
Ответитьhonestly it depends on which server you play. On like OFPS when there is shit ton of AI units, this won't give you any kind of performance boost.
ОтветитьOk so they didn't fix it. Lossless scaling is a known solution, but nobody wants the input lag that comes with it.
ОтветитьArma died in first release of arma 3. you cant revive a dead people after 1 year of death . you can do it just at the time her heart is stopped. Sorry ...
ОтветитьWow
Ответитьyou recorded this video in 30fps so we cannot see the difference at all
ОтветитьSaw a few notes and got a chance to test it a few months ago, yes there is quite the difference.
ОтветитьSmooth like butter
ОтветитьI hope they replace all of stencil shadow as shadow map.
ОтветитьSo this seems like its pretty tricky to set up, when I play arma (build scenarios in zeus) my fps is pretty solid at around 80-120 when making small scale scenarios ... once I start to add more units like 50+ assets my fps starts to go down to like 40-60 will this help keep my frames up when spawning a shit ton of units?
ОтветитьYeah hoooo finally smooth arma 3 wars
ОтветитьI am here since since flashpoint ....After all this years.... ...finally I played arma 3 with steady 60 to 70 FPS... this is a very emosional moment... thank you BROTHER
Ответить😅 Let me provide more details on why and how Lossless works to make Arma 3 run smoother. All my info is based on me testing personally and reading official documents on the software.
Lossless scaling has a feature called Frame Generation. This is different from Upscaling. For Arma 3's lack of CPU optimization, Frame Generation uses your GPU to make up the for a lack of FPS. Upscaling is not important for Arma 3 except if you have a very weak GPU and even then you will not have as good of results as if you had a more powerful GPU.
Regarding Input lag: I notice no input lag at all when running 36 FPS X4 = 144 FPS.
As mentiomed in the video, Lossless Scaling Frame Gen is not perfect, but
I see no drawbacks if you can already run Arma 3 at a stable 30 FPS minimum, which is LSFG official recommendation. Any FPS below that starts having noticable artifacts.
I will never play Arma 3 without Lossless Scaling again. I'm sorry for those who do not find it as an acceptable solution to low FPS. But most people I have talked to have great results with it in Arma 3.
