Hey can I send you my book to critique?
Ответить🔪
ОтветитьTry the other K. Armstrong books, which are also good.
ОтветитьBy Reason of Insanity by Shane Stevens, very weird.
Ответитьhaha I've been using audiobooks to get through my home improvement tasks too :D it's so much easier to keep going with tedious tasks when you have a good audiobook!

Ответить... I loved The Pretender!! 🙆♂
ОтветитьI have read a YA trilogy by Kelley Armstrong that I really enjoyed
Ответить"The Pretender" is such a deep cut.
ОтветитьAn out of time story. It’s been a while since I read it but I remember “In the Courts of the Sun” being pretty good. A Mayan calendar predicts the end of the world and the main character, who is a descendant of ancient Mayans and understands Mayan culture and game theory is sent back to ancient times to figure out how this predictive Mayan game might be able to save the world. Content warning: I do remember the ancient parts containing some very graphic torture.
ОтветитьGreat recomendations. I started reading The Doloriad and I enjoy it very much. It is a novel that can fit in this category of messed up. Also the works of Othessa Moshfegh. Saludos
Ответить<insert knife emoticon>
I don't know why everyone is doung this but thought I'd join in.
Consent reminds me of Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly.

ОтветитьOof whenever I see titles like this I’m expecting something really horrific, Transgressive and disgusting like Hogg. 🤢
ОтветитьThank you, will definitely read A Rip Through Time and Little Star! :)
Ответить🔪 🔪 👍
ОтветитьThe memoir Consent sounds interesting. I think I know /have heard about this. I can definitely say I have heard more than one similar account of situations like this and the plain shocking reality people consider this acceptable in the French art scene. Utterly disgusting... Look into Vanessa Paradis and her early music and movies 👀 Juliet Delpy has also talked about things like this in the past and her experience of adult directors hitting on 12 year old girls and people finding this perfectly acceptable 🤢 sexism with a helping of paedophile
ОтветитьMap of Time trilogy by Felix Palma is a fun steampunk/time travel adventure with a twist
Ответить🔪🔪🔪
ОтветитьIf you haven’t already I definitely recommend “Them” by Mique Watson. It’s an extreme horror novella and it was definitely uncomfortable and dark. It’s a debut novel written by a booktuber I think you might like it🖤
ОтветитьGreat video. 🔪
ОтветитьHey there hello there
ОтветитьHave you read The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August, by Claire North? Messed up and uncomfortable is about right (a little gruesome, too). A guy whose life repeats has to stop another guy whose life is on repeat from destroying everything. It takes him a bunch of lives. Narrated by Peter Kenny. Took me a few listens to fully understand it; loved each listen.

ОтветитьAdded a few to my list! Just finished Full Brutal by Kristopher Triana 😳 and I need a new book to clear my head after that one loool.
Ответить🔪
Ответить💀😉 ( just doing my part, helping the channel out☺️)
Ответить🔪
ОтветитьI am a huge Kelley Armstrong fan!!! Intrigued by Maeve Fly......
ОтветитьTakin' notes...
ОтветитьI just finished Brother a couple of days ago and it was pretty messed up.
Ответить🔪🪓⛏🗡
ОтветитьNow I'm really interested in Meave Fly :D I love the combination of lyrical writing and a strange/dark/weird story. Thanks for the rec!
Ответить💀🔪📚
ОтветитьPretender is my favorite show! A good premise to explore different scenarios without being tied down to one location!
ОтветитьMy Dearest Darkest I bought last year and I still haven’t read it yet. I heard some negative comments but I need to pick it up
ОтветитьAll I can say is that another five stars ⭐️ video love it and also five star T-shirt as well love it 🥰 too love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI still haven't read Let the Right one In, yet. But I'm down to try Little Star
Ответить🔪🔪🔪
ОтветитьI want the same T-shirt, with Australia written on it, but I will put the flag of New-Zealand instead.
ОтветитьOooooh a classic one, A Knight in Shining Armor, by Jude Deveraux. Read it yeeeeears ago, and it was the most beautiful time travel story :)
Ответить🔪
Ответить✨🔪🪓
ОтветитьIf you like people out of time stories try Kindred by Octavia E Butler. It follows a woman in present time who gets swept back to the 1800s.
Ответить🔪
ОтветитьAgree with you on My Dearest Darkest. Started off sooo atmospheric and gripping, but then fell flat and lost the plot while focusing heavily on the romance (wish YA wasn't so romance heavy in general). I will still read her new one, though, and see if I like it better.
ОтветитьI loved Maeve Fly 😂
