I am also excited for the Adlink A500. You can literally fit that thing in your pocket and it has RTX 3050 mobile performance but it is not out yet. These need to go mainstream asap.

WHOOO HOOOO! I know a bit over the top. Back in the 90s I argued with engineers about this possibility of an external GPU. Foresaw the lowering of Memory. Thought if External GPU was paired with Monitor, then students and workers would be able to take a very small dumb PC box with solid state memory to hold personal config. You would log into remote server located at school or business from anywhere for doing work or learning. For games you would have boxes by companies all of which connected to external GPU lowering cost of gaming units.

Can you pair a CHUWI Larkbox Pro Mini PC with this E-GPU? How does it perform? Which Mini PC performs best with this eGPU?

gpu's came a long way over the years.. i think the step is oculink and usb4 to be implemented in every new gpu right out the box without need of adapters

Thunderbolt 3 & 4 aren’t really 40Gb/s. The PCIe tunneling bandwidth is limited to PCIe 3 x4, which is 32Gb/s. The additional capacity is left over for display port and USB 3.x traffic. Thunderbolt 5 will increase this to 64Gb/s but it won’t be out until late next year.

This is just a mmx style graphic card put over a pcb with occulink on it. mean it's only a pcie cable link. just 8643, 8644. but tad faster than tb3 because you don't have the overhead. But if you disconnect: everything freeze. just like removing a pcie card when pc is on.

yeah, i mean its cool, buts its an indiegogo prototype. i waited a full year for the steamdeck when i pre ordered it ... and that was a "ready to go" product...by the time this prototype is finally ready to ship in like 2028 it will be so outdated they will be crowdfunding for the next one....

I’ve been playing Ark Survival Evolved through a streaming app platform called NVIDIA, so when I came across your video about this eGPU, I started thinking if it would work on my LG smart tv. My tv is already compatible with a external hard drive for extra memory, also it’s compatible with a mouse and keyboard setup, adding a eGPU would be the cherry on top. All looks good as someone who play lot less i would get this as desktop replacement no need for huge enclosure with PSU (my PC is already SFF) connected to laptop when in home but i wish they could make that all connectors are in the back coz device itself looks good enough to set it up on desk but with these cables sticking in front its meh but that is my only con from what i see great stuff overall 👌
