The thermal efficiency of the greenpan wins out. I got the stainless that is up to 600F in the oven as that means the coating won't burn up as fast as ones that can only handle cooking temps of 400F before they degrade. The stainless gp5 on an induction burner is life changing compared to my previous pan which was the exact same Carote pan with the wood handle that had the 2nd to worst thermal efficiency of all the pans in the video. That pan sucked.

It didn’t seem that on the egg test when you broke the yolk it tend to stick more. In order to make it fair test you Would have to cook all the eggs the same way, not breaking the yolk.

i've watched many, many of your videos with my boyfriend and i always enjoy them and find them entertaining...but this one spoke to me personally. i didn't think i could be more invested than i usually am but i was glued to the screen! also, i love the hat!

I've had the blue diamond for almost 3 months and I've zero problems with bacon and eggs. I don't wash it, just wipe it out.

I asked for this video a long time ago, or at least was a part of a comment chain, wish you had included an ikea pan in this test. But regardless I'll be switching to a granitestone next.

Probably the best test is to see what these are all like after 3 months of steady use. It has been my experience that the ceramic pans lose most their non stick properties after 6 uses.

That thermal efficiency is not a good thing. In a pan, what you want is thermal mass. That's like praising "metabolic efficiency" when you're trying to lose weight.

My Blue Diamond pan sometimes works fine with eggs, and sometimes sticks terribly.

I know that non stick is all the rage . But I love my cast iron pans. There's no chemicals and last for ever as long as you take care of them.

This video I didn't know I needed until I watched it. I've owned a couple of the green pans in the past and they worked great until the ex managed to warp them both. none of them! non-stick is toxic! use cast iron, stainless steel, or ceramic coated!

Love my caraway pan set, i switched from the always pan and never looked back, the colored shell on the outside of both scratched off rather quickly however, which for those price points is unacceptable.

High carbon steel needs to be seasoned like cast iron. I have owned a lot of that type of 10" saute pans and if you do season them correctly then they are very non stick. You can't put them in the dishwasher or they'll rust and you have to re season them all over again. You can't use any soap like cast iron. The only way I ever cleaned them was with salt and oil. You can rinse with hot water.

Could you do best carpet brand/tier? Wear resistance, stain resistance, etc?

The main issue I have found with non-stick pans is that the non-stick coating often loses its effectiveness with time, even the cheap ones work fine in the beginning. Overheating the pan is also a non-stick coating killer.

Overheating this type of cookware can kill pet birds... many parrots and parakeets have died because of the invisible and undetectable fumes
