Please remember that this video is out of date and you can't get natural gas anymore this way, it has gotten A TON more complicated, so you can pretty much forget it.

I just built this, thought it was current, and instead of natural gas, I got sour gas, which has to be turned into methane (cooled insanely to -180 or something) and then turned into natural gas, so pretty pointless and SUPER complicated. I'm trying to save my base from destruction due to coal shortage, cycle 365 and this just made me waste 20 cycles to build. Could you please make sure that people don't try this setup anymore? Tt does not work with the current release.

This is no longer accurate, correct?
Since petroleum turns into sour gas and not natural gas

Does this still work or do you get sour gas first instead now?

natural gas can be convert to oil?

now this makes sour gas?

This doesn't work anymore since the introduction of sour gas. Now the burning of crude oil generates more useles sour gas than natural gas.

What material is the metal tile? How do you prevent it from melting?

Beautiful, now you can dig a funnel structure below your new base, get a bunch of slicksters and you almost got a closed loop of Oxygen generation, water, and food from farms with free power from Magma. Cheers winterMute. Have a nice day!

Well, since they fixed the drip cooling exploit you shouldn't have to worry about the dripping oil cooling down the magma through the metal tile.

lol I meant insulator not conductor

So I've seen another live stream for ranching mark 2 and they said obysalite is no longer a perfect conductor. I'm not sure what the new specs are but it fixes the usefulness of insulated tiles...... I'm a pretty new player so I'm not sure how this will change the set up for things.

I guess my main point is - I hope you set up a new base for mark 2, you build so much faster than I do and it really helps to watch what you do even when I mess up and kill all my dupes

The Carbon Gyser discharges at 500 C I am planning to do a similar setup with the hot CO2 turning oil into petroleum. It is a 1 to 1 conversion which is double the machine rate.

What you think about using the oil in the pipes to cool down the natural gas using the new heat transfer pipes and also changing the metal tile to the right of the hydro switch to abyssalite because this tile is cooling the petroleum while the tile below the hydro switch is heating it?

What I want to see is Steam Power generation. Can't get around to that.

Wait what if you cool natural gas down enough so it makes petroleum. Like if you think he should do it

Very nice small design. Looks pretty stable too. I'm waiting to see what they end up doing with the temperature averaging myself. You could probably have a vacuum door setup between the boiling spot that triggers based on gas pressure so it would turn the system off if you are not using it fast enough.
