When I was 14 I was illegally sedated in a psych ward. Me and another client got off unit and the staff came and got us. I was put on the kids side of the ward (they had three sides, kids, teens and adults) in a blank padded room they called the quiet room. In the state I live in you either have to be in a violent state or restrained in order to be sedated. I wasn't in a restraint nor was I becoming violent I was complying with staff. They came into the quiet room about half an hour after putting me in there and said I needed to take these meds to calm down or get a shot in the butt. I found out recently that was illegal of them to do but since it was so long ago there isn't anything I can do.

I hate these little viral gangster wannabe, BUTTTTTTT..........i do agree on one thing, that being transported is traumatic as hell....i bet these kids have ptsd from being pretty much kidnapped in the middle of the night and their parents being ok with letting strangers take their own kids out of there beds in the middle of the night and stuffed in a suv abd sent to camp. Id never do that to ky child no natter how defiant they are.

Yep, these programs are becoming known for the way they abuse and neglect kids. They put them in the middle of nowhere and treat them like little soldiers. They don't give them proper therapy, they mostly just get them up super early and run the day like it's a boot camp. There have been mounting reports of abuse, both mental and physical, and even sexual, with Turn-About Ranch and also these other wilderness-themed programs. They rub Dr. Phil's back and he rubs theirs. It's disgusting and Dr. Phil SHOULD be ashamed, because you know he has to be turning a blind eye to all this

Y’know, I didn’t think I’d ever say this, but thank you Bhad Bhabie. This ALMOST happened to me and I didn’t go to one of these, but from hearing my little sisters recounts (we live with different families) it sounded like an absolute nightmare. Thank you for speaking up about this and exposing how absolutely awful these places are

I feel bad for Danielle. She should’ve been getting real help in a hospital, not go to Turn About Ranch. I’m glad she made this video to expose both Dr Phil and the ranch.

I can speak for the kids out in these places. I was locked up in residential placements for 2 and a half years 12-14. At the place I was at the punishments are HORRIBLE. I remember trying to leave campus and I got caught they sent me to something called “mountain camp”. We were there for 3 days no shower, we got fed once a day, slept in our bra and underwear, no blanket. We were in a tent and had to leave it open even tho it was cold asf. I remember one girl was on her cycle and was given no feminine products whatsoever. There was also a incident were a girl drank river water because she was so thirsty. To this day the people around don’t understand the extent of the abuse and they say I needed it. And there is so many more story’s to share of abuse and absolute disregard for the children in the facility’s. Unfortunately we are silenced.

She's actually got a brain in her head this girl. She's not very articulate which makes her appear stupid but she's really not.

Most of this stuff just sounds like being disciplined but because she has never been disciplined in her life she thinks its abuse 🤣

It's so infuriating that these monsters think the way to "correct" a traumatized child is to further traumatize it. I hope this helps to prevent children from being sent to these camps.

Yeah on Dr.Phil she seemed like a bratty, uncaring teen, but these wilderness camps are dehumanizing and need proper regulation. There was a show about this years ago and it was shocking to see how badly the teens were treated. Glad she's making people aware.
