Okay I’ve seen this before but I didn’t realize how accurate it was, except 1) I didn’t have a friend that found out his sexuality beforehand, and 2) he was straight…😭. I had a rough winter break right after this happened, literally confronting my crush on the last day of finals week.

It’s already hard being gay bcs of intolerance but, though it may not be the central message in this story, finding love being gay certainly is one of the most challenging things we have to endure. Attracting same-sex love is not easy when someone doesn’t even share ur attraction. Compounding that is the embarrassment and fear of attempting that again, maybe inversely, confining you to a lifetime of loneliness.

There’s I guy I like now—probably the fifth one I’m going to pursue in my whole life. We take the bus together practically every morning, and I don’t know if he likes me back for sure, even if he’s gay. I’m so scared to find out. But every day I’m building the courage to say something to him. And honestly, the more I have to go thru this and get rejected, the less I try to do it again. 😢
