The USA is a Republic. We vote for representatives to make the decisions on the issues such as how much money to spend on infrastructure. The general publuc doesn't have time to vote everyday on every issue, which is what a democracy in and of itself would be. When we talk about saving democracy, we mean saving the Republic and preventing a dictatorship.

I worked for my entire life as a paid employee. Consider this; Congressmen and Senators are not doing their jobs as paid employees of the American people when they fail to balance the budget every year. Then the Federal Reserve sells out our country by selling bonds to foreign countries. And the shareholders of the Federal Reserve get a 6% transaction fee for every bond dollar sold. So the private banking industry makes money every time that the government spends more money than they have. And then these same large corporations who work hand in hand with the federal reserve benefit from the overspending. How about we demand that our representatives balance the budget or they don’t get paid. Further, each dollar they spend over the budget comes out of their pockets.
