Cyberpunk 2077 in 2023 (finally worth playing?)

Imagine playing Cyberpunk 2077 in 2077. Some nerd YT channel with old pc let’s-play channel, damn my kids will watch this.

I think Watchdogs 2 is still one of the best open world made to date, too bad it didn't got as popular as GTA.

this is what happens when a studio is publicly traded. shareholders and board members who don’t even play video games demand releases and profits. this game should of had at least another year of development. this is the biggest problem in the gaming industry today, unfinished buggy games that don’t deliver on their promises with horrible optimization.

For me i found out why the crowd was empty and the cars as well i transfer it to ssd from HDD and that fix for me

On the topic of traffic.

The intensity of traffic changes depending on the time of day. When you are deeper into the city, traffic is pretty much allways congested. Near the outskirts and industrial areas, the roads will be completely empty at night but fill in during the day.

This actually fits the lore, crime is so bad in the slumier parts, that people simply don't go there at night. Also, Night City is very isolated geographically, because the U.S. lost half it's states. I think the closest civilization to it is Washington, so not a lot of traffic into or out of the city in the first place.

Long story short this game is still trash

"I am playing on Ultra" - shows us two seconds later - half of the settings are on medium.. I dislike liars.

Your experience with population (including vehicles) is on the total opposite end of the spectrum as any time I play. Maybe it’s because I’m at 5K resolution and the game decides to tone down things at 1440p (which is a TOTALLY different experience than even 4K — more on that), but my city is BUSTLING with people. I don’t know why yours is lifeless

As far as the fog looking the way it does, it’s because of your resolution. You can turn the fog off if it really bothers you so much but graphically, it’s not the same game making the jump from 1440p to 4K. I don’t know how to convey this other than you need to see it in person, but that’s really what it is.

As far as cops go, 2.0 completely revises the system. In 200 hours I’ve only encountered a single bug as well which means certain bugs are definitely performance related.

Here after Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty announcement, yes it's gonna be finally worth playing

If you want everything that CD Projekt Red promised back in 2013, with rich, open and immersive worlds, with engaging characters and a story that changes based on your decisions...play Deus Ex 1, 2, Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. Let Cyberpunk 2077 die and let CDPR know that they royally fucked up. Have higher standards people.

I played this game in an almost completely patched state. It's ok on the first play-through. The story isn't great but there's enough cool stuff going on to make it the video game equivalent to a decent popcorn flick. The exploration aspect isn't really that interesting. DXHR had smaller maps but also contained more hidden rooms and locations. The exploration in this is more like GTA5. There's just a lot of map to drive through but most of it's just assets you can't interact with. There's no buildings you can break into or vents to crawl though outside of the missions. It has some replay-ability because there are different endings you can unlock with different missions but the story just didn't hook me in enough to bother with them. I think it is a pretty good looking game so it's a shame that it was let down by a mediocre story. Play it once and uninstall it is my advice and only buy it if its on offer.

The 2.0 update is coming out very soon. I dont think its gonna fix the vehicles spawning in front of you and ghost cars appearing in the desert etc but it will make the city feel more alive with random events and police chases. That being said I'm actually more excited for the reworked perk tree which is an absolute mess currently

Honestly it seems no games run right on pc. Is it because every pc is different? Or the development is just bad? I loved playing this game on ps5 not so much on Xbox one.

I enjoyed this game when it came out on a gtx 1080 back in 2020 and had a grand experience it wasn't until I found out about the VR mods earlier this year that this game transformed into a masterpiece.

Price has dropped a lot? It’s going for $60 on epic game store and Steam…

Funny thing is, on console its still broken, the enemies T posing instead of the reload and get up animation, People glitch through walls police teleports behind you

Long story short, it is in a playable state now, bar the few odd glitches here and there, the game hasn't radically improved after they fixed the bugs, it still feels hollow and empty, but the story is nice and it is worth playing at least once.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is the last bastion of hope.... God help us.

Playing with RTX is a must, the reflections on rainy roads at night and the wet roads slowly drying getting less reflective. It's a shame the character is not included in the reflections but you don't actually have a torso unless you are looking at it but you constantly will cast a shadow lol.
