I just love your videos. I’ve learned so much. I appreciate your honesty when you make mistakes. Your voice is very calming. I too start many projects at a time. Watching from Michigan in the US.
ОтветитьHi Rachael Your quilt is gorgeous Love all the colours you have chosen. I also have just found your channel and look forward to seeing many more ❤cheers from Australia
ОтветитьA pleasure to watch your videos. Loved the idea of working on the flying geese as leaders and enders. Something to keep in mind! Gorgeous quilt.
ОтветитьThis quilt is gorgeous
ОтветитьHi Rachel
Love the pattern would I find in Alice’s book ?
Is the Sofie Jane pattern available in the USA?
ОтветитьYou are a joy to watch. Thanks
ОтветитьWhere are you watching The Alice Wonderland sew along?
ОтветитьLovely fabric. When you hold it up by your big window, it looks like stained glass. Beautiful.
ОтветитьHi Rachel. OMG the quilt is just beautiful and you're doing such an amazing job. Never worry about background noises...life happens! ❤
ОтветитьRachel, before cutting off the waste triangle, move out a little and sew another line to secure the long side of the triangle. Then cut between the two lines of stitching. That will secure the edge of the triangle to use it again. No stretching out of shape.
ОтветитьRachel. What is the purpose of the leaders and Enders?
ОтветитьHello Rachel~~ It's a really pretty quilt~ 🥰 I learned to quilt on my own by reading a book. There is a lot to learn from your channel~ Thank you~~🤗
ОтветитьStunning ❤
ОтветитьHi Rachel, joining you for the first time !! Really loving your work. I wonder if you would take a bit of advice from someone who took needlework OLevel 45 years ago !!! 😂
If you press your seems open before pressing to the side they will look much sharper and it helps accuracy too. Just be careful not to stretch fabric when seam is on the bias. Plonk iron down straight rather than pushing it across seam to prevent stretching.
I rarely offer advice unless asked but your work is so good I have risked offending you to make it even better. Happy sewing ! Xx
When I have a pattern that only makes one "half square triangle" I still sew a line parallel and then cut which leaves me with a tiny half square triangle that can be used in a future project an gets round sewing those tiny triangles later.
ОтветитьYour quilt is going to be absolutely magnificent!
ОтветитьThis will be such a beautiful quilt.
ОтветитьIt's so pretty! It looks like a stained glass window when you hold it up.
ОтветитьIs it ok to mix quilting cotton and Lauren, Di❤
ОтветитьI truly enjoy your videos, thank you! ❤
ОтветитьHi. Love your quilt and videos. You have 20% discount for Missouri Star for spending over $50. Do you know how much the import tax would be on an order of $50??
ОтветитьI think the fabric you love is liberty Robins Allotment Organic tana Lawn Cotton. I googled it !
ОтветитьWhat do you mean by beginners and enders please? I thought they were scraps of material that you put thru before and after sewing to ensure no messy cottons on your project?
ОтветитьA beautiful sewing area. Natural light. Wonderful
ОтветитьBeautiful work ❤
ОтветитьHi Rachel, I've just found your channel and what a wonderful breath of fresh air you are. I follow Alice on social media, so i have seen the adverts for this sew a long and thought it may be too much to start now with all the other bits us sewers always seem to have on the go. Thank you so much for sharing this journey is indeed an exquisite quilt. No wonder you look at it, so dreamy eyed 😊 I made a Liberty Quilting Fabric quilt last month for my dear friends 60th using the Wonky Star Block. Im so thrilled with it. It's just a lap quilt for her evenings under the stars, when she's sat outside her campervan Dave! 😂 I hope the love sewn into it keeps her cosy, safe and secure. Thanks once again, and good luck. Alison ❤❤xx
ОтветитьYour quilt is so beautiful. I love your choice of fabrics!
ОтветитьThe white fabric is beautiful !
ОтветитьIf you rotary cut the hst's after they are sewn you can take the "waste" right back to the machine and sew them before they get messy and you will have a smaller hst at the ready for next time. The quilt turned out beautiful. I love Liberty😍
ОтветитьThat's going to be a beautiful quilt Rachel. I love Liberty fabric too, I had just prepared one for hand quilting before we had our "heatwave" I don't think I would have managed to sit underneath a quilt this past week! Obviously I have had to start another while I wait so I am doing Bring me Sunshine by Sue Daley. I'm using some Liberty and some of my gorgeous fabrics from Rose Garden Patchwork ❤ I look forward to seeing you progress with this quilt. Happy sewing! 🪡🧵
ОтветитьHello, is any one out there having a problem with the Alice in wonderland quilt sampler patterns?🇨🇦
ОтветитьI have a stash of Tana Lawn, great quilt ❤❤❤.
ОтветитьYour Liberty quilt is so beautiful. I love the fabrics. We've just recently gotten Liberty quilting cotton in the US, I haven't sewn the tana lawn yet. Looking forward to the next video.
ОтветитьWhat a lovely quilt it is going to be well done you are such an inspiration ❤️
ОтветитьLove a piano note border
ОтветитьBeautiful quilt thank you for sharing. The other blocks are called hour-glass blocks here in the USA. I have been watching you for sometime. God bless you and your family have a blessed day.
ОтветитьI’m late watching this, but what a beautiful quilt this is turning out to be. I love how you tackle these complicated patterns. I think you need to change your channel name to Super Hero Quilter. 😊❤
ОтветитьI am loving watching this quilt come together. Such beautiful fabric choices. Can't wait to see more of it develop. You are such a joy to watch and listen to. ❤
ОтветитьIt is lovely when the interim process is as enjoyable as the finished. Lovely!
ОтветитьHi Rachel, thank you for sharing your sewing journey, I love your quilt it is so beautiful. I love all all the beautiful things you make you really inspire me thank you.🪡🥰
ОтветитьOh my, that is going to be a phenomenal quilt! Its so beautiful already!
It's so sweet to see you enjoying your handiwork. Thanks for taking us along ❤
Beautiful quilt!❤
ОтветитьAbsolutely beautiful. I really enjoy how much you love the colours and material. Watching from Canada.
ОтветитьWhen sewing your HSTs, have you ever tried sewing a 2nd line 1/4" away from the 1st sew line THEN cutting between the two sewing lines so that you end up with your main HST and a mini HST all sewn together (vs. 2 separate triangles pinned together to put into your stash)?
ОтветитьI really do enjoy watching all your videos you are amazing ❤
ОтветитьWhat is the fabric line ypu are making for the other quilt? They are kind of pastel/neon? Did you say they were Japanese? I love how your sampler is coming along. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьI am so enjoying your progress with this quilt. Each border feels like a step forward and it is looking beautiful. I think that I must live fairly near you as I’m from Redditch. Hope to see you at FOQ 😊
ОтветитьIts beautiful ❤
ОтветитьHi Rachel! I’ve been following you for a while ever since your junk journal days and love your journey into sewing. You have inspired me to do a few projects now including the temperature quilt and now I can’t wait to do this quilt! Quick question, did you buy the 50 tana lawn fabric bundle from Alice Caroline to make this? As it’s nearly a hundred pounds I’m wondering if it’s worth the investment or if there’s a cheaper way to go about it? Thanks in advance xx
