I have been watching my colleges canvas courses from an indian accent instructor. I have been miserable her voice and slowness as if people are dummies , people meaning professors, and like 45min course takes 3h mind blowing. Thank you for posting this

Hello Ashlee! I'm a former theatre teacher myself--now a professor of education--who just got thrown into the deep end with Canvas. Although what I'm currently doing is less a course and more like online advising, I really appreciated your presentation, start to finish. Hard for this once-theatre person to give up face-to-face instruction, but you made online understanding, appealing, and, above all, do-able.

Great presentation! I have a technical question. I have to grade assignments on Canvas using Speed Grader, and of course I also need to make corrections and comments, often in the space between lines of student text. Now the default option for font size on my institution’s Canvas page yields text that is unnecessarily large. I have tried clicking on the option for small size but it doesn’t respond appropriately. Can you suggest what I should do? Many thanks in advance.

You are not only a professor but an angel. It touches my heart when you said to let the discussion for a week because you do not know what students deal with their life's. I had a professor who allowed a discussion for 15 hours that starts after her class ends. I was late five minutes because I forgot to post my answer and she penalized me for that. She did not understand that I am a GTA who works after her class and I have to grade students works.
