this guy has sucked down too many balloons. 2 bed 2 bathrooms fully furnished with a balcony overlooking a park is 9 million split 2 ways, no karaoke, no chickens. electric bill is 900k. ill take all that savings and buy steaks! This guy must be getting paid to say this from real estate agents.
ОтветитьIts not $500 a mth thats for sure more like a minimum of $2000 + a mth to live in the city!
ОтветитьThis was such a helpful video. Very insightful. Thank you!
ОтветитьYoung guys are 45 and younger :(
Ответитьhow much should you make working there, starting from lowly ESL around town teacher teacher job and up
ОтветитьI guess if working on district 9 , stay on district 9 quite Ok
We can go to d1 on weekends
😍
HOW MUCH CAN AVERAGE PERSON MADE IN VIET NAM?
ОтветитьVietnam 🇻🇳 ❤❤❤❤❤🎉
ОтветитьWhat about high quality meat markets, wet markets or butchers selling 100% grass fed beef?
ОтветитьCan't live on 1200/month anywhere in the world
Ответитьyesh schniff it ya koonts
Ответить$300/mth. District 1 if u sleep on the side walks? 😊u live next to a river n swimming is free. Also beer hoi is only $1 for gallons.😊u can catch fish n eat it for free.😊 u can growing ur own rices.😊
ОтветитьWhat’s wrong with Phattys?
ОтветитьAny info on not apartments, but buying/renting a house with a yard and such in the outer districts or outside of the city?
Ответить400000 for beer that 16 dollar really
ОтветитьGreat video. I've been here about 6 weeks. I got a decent quiet apartment in district 7 for 10 mil VND. I love this area, it's like it's own mini city
Ответитьvery informative and cost break down of each category. Lucky for me I can work remotely anywhere and can still manage my team across the world. In addition, I'm an active day trader so the time zone for Vietnam is the best for daytraders, especially during the opening of US stock exchanges. I just need to spend the first hour to do a quick hit and run, and call it a day after making $800 avg per day. My one concern is cash withdrawal. What is the daily limit and the fees? I want to see how convenient it is to make cash withdrawal whether daily, weekly, or monthly, with the least fees, and in the most convenient way.
Ответитьfat broke and lazzzy? make your content coherent accessible and organized.... stick to dollars ..duh esp..if youre going to charge for it..duh..
ОтветитьSo bringing in $3600 United States dollars a month there I’d be living real good for 1 person versus struggling here in the states?
ОтветитьI pay usd 1,800/month for a 2 bedrooms in Sunwah Pearl. Living in HCM is not cheap. Plus if you go out ...
ОтветитьQuality of life and stuffs in Saigon is the best in Vietnam. If you think Saigon is not the 1st world, just spend your time to have attentions around Most Luxury and Expensive Apartments to Houses to Buildings and Rich communities in Vietnam. Saigon has almost expensive stuffs in around the world. It has less billionaires, but it has very many (Dollar) Millionaires who live in both Saigon and Hanoi. The cheapest most luxury apartments/houses cost at least $1,000,000 and up to $5,000,000. The rich Vietnamese do not like very big or long cars like Limousine, why? When you live in Vietnam you will have the same feeling like in NYC or Tokyo.
ОтветитьWow. I stay in Thailand and in one bedroom condo with a view. All my expenses come to $850 a month.
I don't really drink or date much, so that takes away a lot of the expenses.
I eat out most of the time Western and Thai food, which is $15-20 day.
If you're lucky enough to find a girl it's not a prostitute, you want to up that budget another $500.
Good video bro
ОтветитьIn reality, the current prices in Saigon are still nothing to anyone from a 1st world country who lives in a major city like London, NY or LA…. You won’t get much for $2000 per month in London (where I live) and definitely not near the central /upmarket area of the city…. Can you also imagine the rent on an apartment overlooking Central Park in NY, which would probably be the equivalent of District 1 in Saigon…. 🙀 (edit = typo)
ОтветитьI pay 300€ for my Airbnb in District 1 extremely central for one bedroom and I don't go to clubs or western restaurants. So I should be very fine on a tight budget.
ОтветитьGood information from you ❤👍👌❤️🇻🇳 Great video
ОтветитьWise advice indeed Grasshopper
ОтветитьDistrict 1 1000 dollars a month good enough
Ответитьbrother who spends 150$ to 2000$ a month on partying? Is this an american thing or am I missing something
ОтветитьWhy would inmoveto Vietnam to live with the foreigners? 😅😂
ОтветитьYou don't need 1000 dollars a month on a place. 😂😅
ОтветитьGreat channel mate. I'm going back out to Saigon soon having not been there for 10 years. Wanna learn everything I can about the place.
I loved it last time.
Rents have surely went up in the last 12 to 18 months. We rent a really nice furnished 2 bedroom/2bath in a high end building in District 7. Our rent was 13,500,000 on our last lease. Now, it is 16,500,000 on the new lease. That's a pretty big jump. We looked around and tried to find an apartment for a lower price that was equal to what we have now. We couldn't find anything at all that we liked. We've tried living in cheaper districts like D9, but for us the money you save isn't worth the boredom and inconvenience of it. We stayed in District 9 for 3 years btw.
ОтветитьAs some one who, lives on a budget, and have commented on Fb previous cost of living video. He’s is spot on with these prices, the days are gone living in Saigon for a 1000, a month, sure u can do it, but your quality of life is not great.
1500 is needed, plus 500 for investing or putting aside for an emergency fund. 3-4 can have a really good time here.
How is Air Condition charged if its not part of the electricity bill?
ОтветитьWhat about cost of living in D4?
Ответитьgood information. thx 🤙🍺🎉
ОтветитьI mean... My apartment in D7 (15 minutes from d1 city center) was about 300 usd all included (internet, parking, electricity, water etc). Sure, it didn't have a gym or pool, but I'm okey with saving that money..
ОтветитьIs it easy to pick up local girls in Saigon?😃
ОтветитьDid you consider other countries other then Vietnam? Did you get a round of shots before leaving the us and staying in Vietnam?
ОтветитьPrices have double since 2013 i believe
ОтветитьYes i am a size 12 feet and was really hard to find shoes but can confirm chris adidas as have aviet mate who also size 12 and was wearing adidas thongs (flip-floppers)
ОтветитьSUPER APPRECIATED the Aussie no fee bank option. Exactly the right time i needed to hear that
ОтветитьI agree with Chris. Its going to be $1800 usd minimum and if you ars super green like i was its going to be $3000 but i did sign up to a gym and bave nice place. I didnt party but was invited out and that would be $150 usd per party night and easily more so dont feel bad if you spend $4000 for the month of your entire life.
ОтветитьI slept with the air con on so including when i got home plus cooking breakfast it was 12 hours of air con everyday and i think it got to 4 -5 million. Lesson learnt but does that sound normal or a bit high?
ОтветитьAre there any quieterr areas of District 1 to stay on holiday ?
ОтветитьI spent 4.5million Dong in less than 2hrs in Crazy Night on Bui Vien the first night I got there 😂 and I didn’t even take any girls home with me lol. Never went to Bui Vien again 😂 I was there for 3 weeks and squandered £3k but was worth every penny as was a dream holiday for me.
ОтветитьI was in Saigon just now. I loved staying at Landmark81. Apparently you can rent 40 m2 condos for 800 dollars a month (I stayed in an airbnb) What's your opinion on that compared to the upscale places in district 1 you mentioned (I don't know them)
Ответить
