In the VM Edit Settings, I added a new USB HW, Saved VM Settings. Again opened Edit Settings, why ADD USB DEVICE is disabled ?

While setting up new VM in VMware ESXi 6.5 hypervisor how to boot it from USB connected to ESXi 6.5 host?

Does transferring data utilize the VM storage at all? Or does it truly transfer files straight into the USB drive. I have to transfer out some data and I'm concerned that the VM might run out of disk space.

As shown on the video, add USB Device option is in disable mode (in Grey colour) even after adding the USB Controller.
