Everyone tells me I’m so lucky with my first, he sleeps for about 3 or 4 hours, I spend about an hour or a little longer breastfeeding, burping and changing nappy then he easily goes back to sleep for another 3 or 4 hours and repeat. Everyone says I hit the newborn jackpot with him 😅💙

My baby is 13 months old but she never sleeps before 3am . In earlier stages it was horrible . She used to sleep only 2 3 hrs at night . Till now she doesnt sleep before 2am . Please need some advice . She doesnt cry . She just wants to play and sleep only after 2 or 3am . She was lactose tolerant earlier but post 1yr we have moved to carton milk and shes adjusting well . She doesnt sleep at a stretch . She wajes up 2 or 3 times to feed milk post sleeping at 2/3am

Wait I’ve heard that the environment shouldn’t be quiet while they rest due to them being used to noise in the belly. So you’re supposed to vacuum or do whatever your daily tasks are so that they also get used to noise. And they will adjust.

Hey thank you for this video.
However, I would love to know what causes my newborn to suddenly go limp in her sleep. Its really unsettling since she exhibit rhe signs of low sleeping with her eyes. Through eye movements. However her entire body is like in a rag doll form all of a sudden.

Thank you so much Ms, I have a 2 week old baby I’m a first time mom and I noticed this as well - I figured if I just give it some time when she makes noise instead of rushing to pick her up then I’l can tell if she’s asleep or not .. lol thanks for confirming this. Your video is sooo helpful ❤️

This is 💯 true. I use to have a night light and music on bc I thought babies slept better with it until I forgot to turn it on one night and my son slept for longer and was well rested in the morning. The music is soothing for sure but now I play music only in the day time whether it be in his play time or nap time. No more night light either not even to feed him.

FTM here and I feel like I’m doing something wrong. I have a 2 week old and his sleep schedule looks the opposite of this video. He’s taking small 30min naps at night and the 2-3 hour stretches of sleep during the day. I don’t know how to flip that sobo can sleep at night

None of my babies or myself can sleep in quiet or dark. And ironically it began because I was feeding my first son so often, I got too tired to get up and put on the telly for each feed. So I started watching shows on my computer. While feeding in bed. He stopped napping all together at 6 months old. By 2 he was drumming, but 5-6 a very accomplished drummer. ADHD like his mumma. This video was great. But just wanted put my hand up here for neurodiverse families. Full blown panic attacks if I'm in a dark, quiet environment. Seems 2/3 of my babies are the same. We can sleep nicely to black and white relaxed music. Lanegan live is our go to.

Every baby is different.. Some stays asleep some stays awake most of the time such as mine and when she is awake she is constantly crying and wants to feed till the moment she falls sleep again.. So no one can judge others journey it is hard for some people be thankful to god if your's is easy.

This was suuuppper helpful. I constantly find myself jerking out of sleep and rushing to my baby’s side whenever I hear his animalistic grunts and moans during the night. Smh. Now I know that’s normal. I’ll try to remember that tonight and see if I sleep better 😅

Am here cz my baby has just turned 3 months and he can hardly sleep on his own without me ,,and each time he's sleeping he's tirelessly turning left and right looking for mama's breast to suckle..sometimes he ends up with his mittens or shawl in his mouth and he wakes up sooner than u thought

I’ve been lucky that already at 2 months she started going down at 9pm and sleeping until 1am for a feed and sleeping again until 5 for another feed and sleeping again until 7-8am
She hit 3 months this last Monday. We are in the phase of crap naps already though maybe a sleep environment issue on my part
