DKC water levels are amazing perfection.... but this boss is so annoying

This world was honestly insanely fun and has gorgeous atmosphere but this guy is a bugger. I was playing as funky (can’t imagine using the other kongs) and still had to cheese it by using two potions. Some day I’ll come back to beat him without them but I’ve enjoyed the rest of the game so much I just wanted to progress by this point. 😅

22 hit combo. were quit

It took me 3 hours. But I've got it 22 Hit Combo almost closed my game and then I had to do everything again. So I am happy that I didn't close it by punching him

The control for the water stages are shit!!!

Honestly, the underwater levels on this game are pretty good. Most platformers have horrific water levels and i was expecting the same for this one but was pleasantly surprised. The speed boost feels good to use and a lot of times I thought I was for sure going to get hit but was able to stop on a dime and avoid the hazard. Great game hoping we can get a new dk platformer for the next console

The boss fights in this game are so dragged out. There’s no health bar or any indication that they are almost defeated and it just gets annoying. It’s a great game other than that.

When dark souls is easier than donkey kong

The bosses in this game are by far the worst ones in this franchise. The battles are stupidly long, and It takes like 10 hits to kill a boss. You die and have to restart the whole thing.

The final boss is way harder

I honestly had more trouble with this boss than the final boss.

Get Diddy Kong and memorize the attack pattern

What the fuck! Fucking messed up

Fun fact, there’s a guy who beat this without pressing left

This boss is legit unbeatable if you don't play with a friend so you can revive each other

And to think, this fight could have been avoided had the monkeys not messed with Fugu in the first place.

One Retro employee when designing this boss: The kiddies will love it! You're in water, so the controls have to be sluggish. As you're in the water it's only logical that you need to replanish your oxygen. We also need a screen filling boss where plenty of objects obstruct your path!

Other Retro employee: Nah, that would be easy. Let's fill the edges with spikes!

First time I did well I died, but almost beat him. Second time trying a trainwreck. On my third attempt now.

Donkey and the other Kongs should've learned not to make fun of someone for how they look. Being a Red-Nosed reindeer, who got made fun of at childhood, I know that lesson.
