In general hard resetting is not required for Eevee your internet all your console he just meant turn it off wait 30 seconds and then back on or whatever that's different you're waiting for the ram drive to clear before you turn it on a hard reset is turning everything back to factory settings nobody's doing that every time this happens at least I hope not that's a pain in the ass and unnecessary you would just fiddle with your router settings but definitely most definitely do not need to do a hard reset for either device well at least for sure not the router

Reminder 95% of the time it's not your internet lagging, Activision just likes to rush games and the servers suffer because of it. The servers can barely handle tac sprint or will purposely lag you in gun fights

im having this problem that has been happening recently everything freezes im able to move but like a second later it catches up. i play on console

It’s annoying literally get 180-258fps some days I’ll be fine on 17-19 latency other days 48-999 can balance out abit with a vpn server but not ideal

Done all that even tested the Internet speed, ping and latency. Testing at the modem and where the Xbox is plugged. plug in the Xbox it’s has high latency but when you play the a computer in now works just fine.
I think Microsoft/Xbox is throttling back the latency causing players to lag.
Lol everything is shut off in the house when I’m gaming except the Xbox is the only thing plugged in. Microsoft Xbox, one tech nations are worthless.🤷‍♂️ over $1000 and still have problems😬
I have tried some of those things you said it has helped however, I think it’s on Microsoft side with the high latency Hass to be since everything else test out great 🤷‍♂️

My ping is normally around 12-20 but almost Everytime I engage In a fun fight my ping spikes to like 3-500

Nah, just don’t be good at the game, don’t move around very much, don’t select any skins or camo’s that aren’t “tactical”, and you might not get shadow banned. If you move and do well, cry babies will report you and Activision will put you on servers 2,000 miles away so the paint chip eating tards can have a 100ms ping advantage. No, but seriously, I’m not even that great. Still, I’m apparently so good that I only get placed in servers on the opposite coast of the US. If I use a geofence it takes 20min to find a match, and even though my connection is good, skill comp oops I mean lag comp still puts me about 100ms behind other players. Basically, if your lagging it’s probably the game nerfing you. Before you obsess over fixing your connection, just do a ping test in your console or pc’s browser. If it looks good, then you’ll know it’s the game lagging you on purpose.

im on ps5 never really had a problem with lag until recently every time i join a match i play fine for 30 seconds and then it freezes for 5 seconds and it goes on like that… don’t know if its my ps5 or the servers or my wifi but it makes the game unplayable….

Literally a couple days ago my mw2 randomly started lagging in every game I play. This is not the case for other multiplayer games I play and damn well not my connection. I didn’t pay 60 dollars just for this dog shit to run like this.

I really need help with the game. I play on ps4. Its all fine until there is this lag where my controller doesn't react anymore and I can't control anything anymore. Even if I manage to open the settings there is the same lag and it just scrolls through the settings without me having any control over it. What should I do?
