That alien got left behind because he was wounded, and wanted revenge. His breathren must have freed him from the pantry. How he tracked Merral down has me curious.

I wonder where the alien was hiding. Its able to camouflage itself . So pretty scary

I love this movie even to this day and i never understood the criticism it gathered over the years(Especially Nostalgia Critic's review that stirred it even more) and everyone keeps parroting the same crap about the film

"Aliens are stupid, that they cannot get through wooden door"

This to me is completely unwarranted. Its not like the Alien didn't know how to open the door and walk past it, the freaking table was stacked and barricaded against the door so getting out was bit difficult. Plus, IT GOT OUT! The one that was threatening to kill Morgan was the same alien that was locked in the pantry earlier. Also, once the family re-emerges from the basement, you can see numerous windows being broken and boards being ripped out. Heck, one of the doors was open, because during the invasion it was boarded up and Graham and Bo exit the house while Merrill is fighting the alien.

Okay, this one is harder to justify, because that is indeed kinda dumb...unless, as some have theorized that these aliens are very desperate and looking for any resources they could find, even if ends up sacrificing their own members. There is some evidence to this, as the aliens left pretty quickly even leaving their wounded behind. I also like the demon theory that the aliens in the film are not actually aliens, but demons and the water glasses that Bo left scattered around the house were indeed "holy water".

There are other things that people often misinterpret about the film, expecting it to be another alien invasion movie. They say that aliens were going to take over the planet, even though they only came to harvest humans and leave the planet ASAP

Now, is Signs flawless movie? No, then again no film is.

And the demonic-looking aliens were an allegory for the more evil portions of the "bro"-hating "Friends"-watching "Seinfeld"-hating Nordic Allied Yankee society that partook in the cruelties of imperialism. Spain, Denmark, Russia, Spain and Israel.
