How I Coded An Entire Website Using ChatGPT

I picked up fast & learnt so much more using Chatgpt, than any of my distance teachers learnt. I did a whole website for my project in about 30 min using Chatgpt. I'm like 90% done rn!... 😂💀

this is cool and all, but are we missing the point? why would we need to keep coding, when we can now talk directly to the computer? as u already proved, what is stoping chatgpt to directly interpret our prompts/ideas and displaying them on a file. Maybe developers will focus more on actually solving problems and giving new solutions, and less on manual typing lines of code. I'm a junior fullstack, I'm still learning, but one of the firsts things i learned is that coding is soo old school.

I mean, at this just make chatgpt workers, let AI be customers, sell and buy from AI why do companies need humans 😂

its quite a contradictive title on this video, chat GPT coded your website, you didnt, you just copied & pasted and done an absolute minimum yourself, thats like doing paint by numbers and saying you are an artist

Checked what ChatGPT can do. It's not too impressive when it comes to creating a website. Especially, the design is bad, very bad. My 10 y/o brother can do better. The code the bot uses is too basic and as said before, not too creative or appealing to the eyes.

Really nice job. I have seen a couple of GPT build websites, you are the first to demonstrate you have to use your head, which is supposing you know how to code. Those without enough exposure may get stuck. Nonetheless, great job putting it together. Are you doing AGI? Code Interpreter? Automatic programming. Some nice work has been done. honestly, I use chatgpt on the daily now just to learn things better, I was a book reader but now i just summarize and ask questions so it can learn how i would want to learn

Its a process but at the end of the day you dont need to go back in forth copying snippets. It does it on its own. I just made a full blown site with no actual knowledge in programing. And i made a logo too. 😅 the site has a homepage, about us page gallery products brochure order contact and a map... noice

I have zero coding experience, but can still see how this might help me patch a simple website together. Compared to an experienced programmer, it would still take me a lot more time... but, the fact that I even have the option to attempt this now, with a lowered barrier of entry because of the supercomputer being my crutch, is simply mind-blowing.

I've been using ChatGPT either to help write contents, to learn and understand better some algorithms, to help write some Javascript and Python codes, asked her to explain some errors in the programming codes, etc. I got another inspiration on how I can use ChatGPT from this video.

I'm glad and not glad at the same time that ChatGPT isnt part of my college. it would make things faster and easier but it would be easier to use if you know what you are doing and how specific will you prompt everything. I am really glad that I graduated college and now in a professional work using this. it made everything so easy a 1 hour work would be done in 15-30 minutes A.I is really the best thing that happend to us. I am seeing the next 5 years like a jump to the future with the help of A.I technology

Thank you for the demonstration! Good to know which level its currently. You still need not only knowledge, but developer skills as well to validate answer and probably code tough use cases. But in general, it'll speed up the development a lot!

I think one still needs some fundamental programming skills to do this. You already know as a programmer where to insert the code in Visual Studio and what to edit and modify the ChatGPT code. As a complete non-programmer, I have no idea how to use the code and insert it where?
Any suggestions? Should I take a basic programming class? I have no idea what Json is, how Visual Studio works, etc.

So there is not back end for this application... Have u ever used gpt for databases... and as the app gets bigger and bigger would GPT be less effective?

Your point at the end about not knowing what's going on with the code when it was generated by GPT was on point. lol I worry the more I use this stuff the less actual development skills I am building.

ChatGPT helped me make an ugly website that doesn't talk to a real API - it's completely useless." - sorry, I'm just saying ChatGPT is cute at the moment, but not quite as good as it's being sold as. I mean, it's kind of a glorified Google search at this point, at least for me. It seems to require significant programming skill to understand what to prompt it for, how to process the results, and is therefore rather inefficient at this point. That said, I think it'll get better and better and probably will mature right around the time we all decide life is better without websites and apps. ;)
