Sylas is not a communist, but an anarchist, or at least follows anarchist principles and belief. Communists dont generally agree on freedom from rule, either through a transitionary stage or even in the end result. Anarchist-communists do, whereas Marxist-Leninists and similar ideologues dont. Anarchists from all stripes have different conceptions of what freedom from rule is, but generally agree that hierarchies such as monarchies, class, race etc. should be done away with to bring about a free society. Weirdly enough sylas dominates the game so hard that you could call him a hypocrite hehe

Sylas Magic as a Mage is that he can absorb other Mages Magic like when he did the girl with Lightning Magic but his Petricite Shackles supresses his ability to absorb Magic BUT the very shackles that suppressed his Magic also absorbs Magic?!?

Isn't that 'blue lightning his own magic? Because it does confirm in the comic (I know the comic came out later than this video) that sylas without any other source he still has an active source of his own

I think I know the answer to the inconsistency in how Sylas absorbed lux's magic;

so the story says he escaped while being hanged when brushed against lux absorbing some of her powers and using it as his own but the cinematic shows that he did it while still inside the cage.

in issue 3 of LUX's story, we can actually see that he was just testing it out and he ACTUALLY escaped when he was being hanged so the story all lines up with the cinematic.

I personally think Sylas's powers consist of sensing and conducting magic, while his petricite chains offer the posibility to store magic.

Sooo Sylas is the other side of the Demacian coin. I thought he was a bad guy, but now I see it's yet another one of those contradictions that make me love the dynamics between Demacia and Noxious so much. You can never tell who's good or bad; right or wrong because all the characters that we follow (Darius, Garen, Lux etc.) have so many layers that blur the lines in a way that makes me VERY happy, lol
