He’s gonna be a bust. All USC QBs stink. He’s a diva. Think Matt Leinart. Or, Mark Sanchez. Matt Barkley. Or, Sam Darnold. Or, Matt Cassell. Much ado.

They should trade out of the first pick to number 2 draft Marvin Harrison, then at 9 Brock Bowers, then they would have an elite offense. Pick up the 5th year option on Fields which would be around 10 mil. Along with cap space plus whatever veteran spots they fill with the trade. They will make playoffs and compete in the division

It’s basic economics, 5 years of a rookie deal vs 2 more. Gotta go get those extra 5 years.

The NFL should have never allowed that snobby little brat Eli Manning to manipulate his destination. You play for whoever drafts you. That how the NFL remains profitable for everyone, including definitely the players. Those who don't want to make a "bad situation" better don't deserve to be in the NFL.

I’m a bears fan and a Justin fields fan. But for fields I hope he does leave Chicago. The coaching hasn’t been consistent for him. But as a bears fan I like fields to stay but also Williams isn’t a bad alternative so if I was GM I’d have the idea of drafting Williams unless someone came to me with a great offer

Sorry Mike but I would take Commanders over the Bears too. The Commanders have a load of talent on the offensive side of the ball. They have a stable of backs and great wide outs to throw to. They also have a good set of D linemen. They need to get O line guys NOW but I would rather have Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and Logan Thomas with backs like Brian Robinson Jr and Antonio Gibson and even Chris Rodriguez Jr. No O line but a lot of players to play with. I would rather have them no doubt no offense to the Bears but they have picks but very little talent at this time. I am taking the Commanders and I also like Jamison Crowder and Cole Turner but they he is unproven. 1 other thing to think about is that if Caleb DOESN'T want to be in Chicago the asking price could take a hit. Commanders could just say they are moving up just 1 pick and Caleb doesn't wanna be there so they could pay less. Picks are fine but there is no freaking way the Commanders make the same mistake as the Panthers and trade their WR1 too! Team should pay another 1st and more but no way do you trade Terry or the other receivers to make this happen. Just let Chicago suffer and take Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels at #2 but you CANNOT trade talent too

The Raiders have the 13th pick this year. Theoretically, I'd not be excited to get the 13 overall this year plus two future 13's. That assumes they stay about the same level. And while you argue that the Chargers should improve, we must assume worst case is that the Raiders also improve with their new QB. Maybe not in year 1, but the future future pick at least. Also, 13 this year just takes us out of allllllll the offensive weapons... and Fields needs all the help he can get. So that all said, it's not as big a no-brainer as you'd think. If you trade away a prospect like Caleb, you really can't get a 13 pick back. You need franchise altering potential. I'm not here to debate if Caleb is a bust or not... but whoever will be there at 13 is definitely a lot less potential to be a major impact... so we'd be loading up on lesser tier impact players. With all the hype around Caleb, teams have to do better than this. For example, rumors were that Miami was trying to trade up from No. 5 to get Burrow. They were giving 3 firsts from No. 5. Why should we take less than that for Caleb? Raiders need to give 3 1sts plus Crosby, or it's just not that exciting of an offer. It would actually be the bare minimum offer and worse than the Carolina trade last year.

When you look back the last 4-5 years, every QB selected 1st overall brought their franchise to a playoffs within 1-2 seasons when they first joined the league. Very rare you see them excel in their first season without struggles. Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence did it in 2 years because Burrow had a horrific o-line protecting him and Lawrence had a head coach that didn't even last in the league for more than a season. Stroud was a unique case this past season because he has the potential to surpass Mahomes but also Houston was solid overall from coaching to the player personnel. I could see Williams thriving with a revamp of the coaching staff but also adding some more solid weapons on offense.

Your take on the Raiders says you think the bears should keep Fields. IF with CW the Raiders can pick in the top 5 he just isnt THAT generational guy(which is fine he can still be a really good QB). For the Bears to take him Poles has to be sold he is that generational guy because the conversation is not because of the Bears product on the field but because the Panthers

🐻⬇️. We have no clue what they are going to do but I think it’s all or nothing for Washington now that they made this move I hope the Bears trade down for a small haul we are close enough to being a winning team that we need more options and need to bring in more talent to push us over that threshold. I’d like to see Chi do that and go after Nix or Phenix in the second round and have a QB compition with whoever is in town for the QB spot get MH jr and some lineman and let’s go kick Greenbays ass

As a Cowboys fan, OF COURSE you would think Dan Quinn is a "defensive mastermind" (even though he's not). Masterminds tend to innovate, it's kinda a part of the job description. I'm not saying he's a tomato can but throwing those terms around willy nilly demeans them.

Washington has a true number 1 at wide out in McLaurin, they have the most cap space in the NFL, a hand full of picks in the top 100, a new ownership, a young and hungry GM, and it’s Caleb’s hometown team who he has always been a big fan of. Also with Kliff backing out on the Raiders it looks like he’s possibly gonna land in Washington if they decide to move on from EB. All signs point to him wanting to come to Washington. Does that mean it will happen? No. But I think that’s definitely where he would rather be just going by context.
