I’ve had the same issue with the safety switch, thought I was the only one
ОтветитьThe Kickback on the 6 1/2 is a little bit more dangerous.
ОтветитьNice vid but the music is very annoying man. It's like you've made one of those vid's like most of the hindu from india do
ОтветитьI remodel for a living and have the Milwaukee Brushless 7 1/4 (non fuel) circ saw. I will say a couple things about my experience. I bought it at a random Home Depot, while on the road and the box was never opened, yet it was missing the bolt and nut that allows for angle adjustment on blade. I didn’t cry upon noticing, or blow up their name, or waste time calling them, I simply found a wing nut, and bolt. Anyways, I will say that I do like the saw overall. It has done everything I’ve asked it to do. All my tools are standard non fuel brushless and even have a Brushed sawzall, oscillating tool and M12 Hackzall. I’m grateful for everything despite it not being Fuel and I use my tools daily.
ОтветитьI just got the 7 1/4" fuel version and I also noticed the trigger issue. I was actually ready to return the saw before I tried one last time and pushed the trigger lock and trigger both very hard. The trigger clicks every time I use it. I'm hoping it gets better as I use it more
Ответитьthe non fuel brushless" 7-1/4 does have a janky sucky safety switch. It sucks!
ОтветитьWanted the 6 1/2 originally, but with the 7 1/4 on sale with a 6.0 battery for 259 I couldn’t pass it up
ОтветитьFirst, I hate how your music is way louder than your voice. so when the music came on(for the cutting and your outro) I turned it down.
Now to be on subject, this black friday i grabbed the Fuel 7 1/4 with 5.0 battery for $250. I chose the larger saw due to the fact I dont carry it all day, im a cabinet installer. But i like the depth and extra torque to get through a 3 inch dishwasher panel or similar. Decent review with the non scientific testing.
Just picked up the 6 1/2 fuel from HD for 219 and got a free 5.0ah battery with it.
ОтветитьGreat video, answered all my questions, 6 1/2 vs 7 1/2 left vs right, just bought the 6 1/2, thanks liked and subscribed!
ОтветитьThank you excellent video I subscribe you channel 😀
ОтветитьA lot of people commonly refer to a blade left as a left handed saw it’s not. It could be used for framing because it has plenty depth of cut for 1-1/2” dimensional lumber but it is actually a trim saw it is a blade left for better line of sight which is also why it’s only 6 1/2 inches. The same goes for a 5 1/2 or 5 3/8. Rigid does make a 6 1/2 blade right which is not common. Which is also why a blade right is called a sidewinder not a right handed saw. Enjoyed the video! I also switched from Dewalt to Milwaukee a couple years ago and I’m happy with my decision what are your thoughts after being on both?
ОтветитьCan’t hear the saw
ОтветитьDude you are an O.G. I can tell by that tool belt with the hammer loop on it. The guys I learned from wore those same style of old school tool belts.
ОтветитьWhy is my guard plastic someone help lol
ОтветитьOK, that's it, I'm doing more circular saw curls.
ОтветитьMy local store has factory refurbed 6 1/2 fuel saws for $139, I think I'm going to go ahead and get it. Thanks for the final push!
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic presentation!
I have an older Milwaukee 6 1/2 inch non fuel non-brushless and it's been a real workhorse. It's getting kind of tired so I was going to take the plunge and get a 7 1/4 milwaukee (I am heavily invested in the Milwaukee battery ecosystem with all my tools)
One of the reasons I wanted to go to 7 1/4 is sometimes 6 1/2 inch blades are hard to find at my local big box store and I got tired of that. But then when I started looking at the 7 1/4 inch Milwaukee saws, the blades are on the right and being right handed I thought this might impede my line of vision making a cut.
I'm really convinced after this video that I would be very satisfied with the Milwaukee 6 1/2 inch fuel model, it really would serve all my needs as a general purpose handyman.
thanks again for posting.
on the 7 1/4, how often are you likely to use the dust port with an attachment to a vacuum?
Ответить12 min video talking thru 90% of it
ОтветитьFor an uneducated person on power tools that wants to start building and selling furniture I really appreciate you sharing the difference between the 2 circulars from Milwaukee from Milwaukee.
ОтветитьWhat kind of boots you have on. Love the style !
ОтветитьReally nice review! 👌. I'm looking for a solution to use a guiderail with the 6½" saw. Any suggestions?
ОтветитьGo with the fuel 6-1/2. Bring a few high output 3.0 compact batteries and leave your corded stuff at home.
ОтветитьKudos for taking the battery off whilst putting the disc. Good safety practice!
ОтветитьWill the Fuel 6-1/2 saw cut through 2x4 at a 45 degree bevel? I thought it did, then I saw another video where it didn’t. It should but maybe you know for sure.
Ответитьexcellent garage set & info, now i want a milwaukee saw & dont even need one
ОтветитьI just needed a Cordless Circ Saw!! LOL......my shed is WAY too far from my garage and wiring.....the 7-1/4 came with my Hammer Drill combo!.....it's definitely impressive compared to my old craftsman stuff which is Insanely loud and "not" as smooth to cut, lol.
ОтветитьI tried the 7 1/2 right blade ,, but just can't get used to it.. yes the 6 1/2 left side blade throws the saw dust at you but I need to see my cuts lol
Ответитьwhat's fuel and non fuel mean?
Ответитьis this good for metal? need something all around but will do some sheet metal 12 gauge and maybe a pipe or so.
ОтветитьCouldn’t make my mind up on weather to get the fuel or the non fuel. I have decided after watching this.
Excellent review.
I work for a general contractor. About a year ago one of our framing subs showed up and let me use his 6 1/2 fuel and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since. Just about ready to pull the trigger on it
ОтветитьGreat video!!! Never used the 6 1/2, would like 1 for small jobs, but LOVE the non fuel 7 1/4, you never hear about that saw & it’s a beast, I also have the m18 fuel rear handle 7 1/4 so it’s not that I can’t afford the fuel, I just really like it
Ответитьgood energy in this review! I've been framing off and on since I was a kid and I'm a somewhat stubborn skilsaw guy. I can cut very well with anything from the crappiest sidewinder to a sawzall with a bent jacked up blade. That being said will I be happy with the 6-1/2 for day to day framing?
ОтветитьAdam, I really liked the video of y’all punching the wall open and making the cased opening. Including the homeowners was cool! I just wish you would take better care of yourself, ya know, work out once in awhile? 😳🙄😀🤣. Kidding kidding... I almost looked as good as you do, about 25 years ago! Man, can you say ‘Ripped!’ 👍👍😀😁😀🤣😂👍👍👍✌🏻🇺🇸 Stay safe and Healthy! Hope your New Year is going well.
ОтветитьCan the 6 1/2 cut 45° cuts on 2x6 all the way through?
ОтветитьI have a skilsaw, 30 years now and still works fine, and is left blade side. I tried a right side blade saw and just cannot get used to it. I am opting for the 6 1/2 saw, left sided blade! Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьGot the fuel 6 1/2 in the garage waiting to be unboxed. Awesome job as always!
ОтветитьThe fuel 7 1/4 feels way heavier than the brushless 7 1/4 and I personally would take the brushless just because of that
ОтветитьThat Milwaukee battery powered safety switch really sucks, they need to do better. My corded Milwaukee saw has a nice safety switch, I have no issues with it. All the battery powered ones are a pain to operate IMO.
ОтветитьHi,
Well, the interesting thing on both models (6 - 1/2) & (7 - 1/4) they both have the same 5000 rpm.
Still, i like my 6 - 1/2 model. The size and weight is perfect for my daily cutting and ripping. The only thing that milwaukee missed on all their circular saw is the stops on the 22.5 and 45 degree bevel. That's one feature i like on the dewalt cordless circular saw.
Still a great circular saw...
The 61/2 fuel cuts faster than the fuel 71/4
ОтветитьHi Adam! Aww, blade right Vs blade left? This debate will continue ad Infinitium! But, I get it, as I own both styles. I have owned a little 6 inch Porter Cable Sawboss saw for over 20 years, and the cord is taped up in like 11 places! I wouldn’t take anything for that saw! I have a fairly new Skilsaw MAGNESIUM 7&1/4 sidewinder, that I have a love/hate relationship with. It is a real strong and smooth running saw, but I always use ear plugs with that one. It won’t cut against a speed square worth a dang, but for some reason, I can free hand cut that thing to a 1/16 inch no problem? I’m kind of obsessed when it comes to circ saws. (Don’t tell my Wife! )
I have around 11 saws all together! Corded and cordless. One thing Adam, and anyone else out there, I was told a long time ago, by an old timer with crazy skills as a builder, “Waste side, blade side!” I see a lot of guys cutting with left hand saw, and trying to balance it on the smaller side of the plate. Try reversing your cut with the 6&1/2 Fuel, Adam. A personal thing, I get it. YMMV. My most used cordless would be the Milwaukee Gen 1 7&1/4 Fuel right hand blade saw. I’m glad my comment wasn’t TOO long! 😳. Thanks! North eastern Pa native here! Peace Be safe! 👍😁🇺🇸🎃
The 7 1/4 sounded stronger because it was a brushed motor. Brushless motors sound weaker, but usually have at least as much power, if not more.
ОтветитьI have been using my new 6 1/2" fuel saw for a couple months now. Best saw for framing ever in my opinion. Way better than my old corded 71/4 makita.
ОтветитьI had an old skill saw 7 1/4 and it finally bit the dust. I replaced it with the Fuel 6 1/2 and love it!. It is just as powerful (maybe even more power), lighter, and quieter. I am a DIY guy and only have 1 saw. The Fuel 6 1/2 is perfect for what I need. I like to buy quality tools just once for anything I really intend to use. I like the blade brake and feel this is a very safe saw.
