Zane is a wicked good interviewer. I know it’s his job, but he goes above and beyond in a way I don’t see a lot.

while I like bon ivers recent direction for emma is by far still my favorite of his. I do think it would be really cool if they returned to a more striped down sound for there next album.

This is by far my favorite interview with Justin. Why? Because I get it. When the Universe or God-whatever your spiritual beliefs-tears you down to rock bottom and you have no choice but to go through a total transformation, it literally is life changing. Both physically and mentally. When you finally come out the other side you can’t help but smile. You now know there IS a plan and you DO have a purpose…and how can you not smile about that? Life is so incredibly short, do not waste any time giving importance to unimportant things. Just smile and walk away from the hustle of the outside world to maintain your inner peace. Keep smilin’ Justin, love the music that radiates from you now ✌🏼❤️

Amazing to hear that you feel those things Justin, as we all do, especially for us "emerging artists" and just the shear amount of what feels like an unidentifiable resistance and anxiety towards creating, performing, and sharing our work.

I wish I could tell him what the album means to me. It got me through the worst hell I knew. It has permanent symbolism, permanent geological markers, permanent smells, permanent pains. Over-Soon is a beautiful soundtrack to my anguish, and something I could never forget...... Things I still deal with. I hate that I do. I wish they were buried in the past. But they're here today, here now, in my head. I hope all of life isn't like this.
