go there at night ................... you will soon change your mind
ОтветитьI am coming up to hike in Whitby with HF., 🇨🇦🇨🇦
ОтветитьSuch a miserable place. The worst. ☹️
Ответить" Get winging wet ".
ОтветитьBeen to Whitby and loved it, going again this year and the railway, moors and food are excellent. So sad that so many travel abroad all the time without exploring and knowing their own country too. Britain is beautiful and not enough people realise it. Excellent Video, thanks.
ОтветитьAww Whitby is nice and tranquil and very haunted x
ОтветитьTks for yr nice introduction on Whitby's trip. How come if the weather is okay if i go there in October?
ОтветитьNice.
ОтветитьI live in Nottingham I go there at least 3 5 times a year it’s brilliant I can’t stop eating the fish and chips in abbey wharf I stayed in a apartment chiniese type of one
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful video!
ОтветитьFabulously presented. Well informative and beautifully filmed
ОтветитьWhitby council should pay you for this video, The people that will now visit whitby because of your video well done to you what a good job you have both done paul liverpool
ОтветитьWas it intentional to say St Mary's Church was founded in 1110 at 11.10 am?
ОтветитьExcellent video - I agree with the key areas you suggest exploring - I thought I could add a few more to help people who visit this wonderful seaside town.
You could have added finding the pirate graves in St Marys graveyard? if you found them of course.😂I have spent my whole live in and around the town, and return regularly - more than once per year, and spend whole weeks there when I can.
The unique light you talk about is because the sun rises over the east pier, and sets over the west pier - and the harbour entrance points North. So while the town is on the North East coast, its beach has an interesting run, which means there is always light on the beach from dawn to dusk everyday, and it creates really unique perspectives and looks - more so if you photograph it regularly.
It is the only place in the UK where I can order fish and chips and know the quality of what I will get. I have encountered only a small number of f&c places beyond the town in the UK which have maintained the same standard, tradition and quality - trust me they are few and far between, and happy to send you my very small list of the ones I return to beyond the Whitby borders.
You could have made more of Justins fudge there is a whole story behind the shop, with a little research to add depth - Justin was a town legend, and sadly passed a few years back, but his apprentice kept the smaller of the two shops going, and continues the vision Justin created. Amazing place, and amazing quality chocolates.
And my thank you for ending on Robin Hoods Bay - nothing beats walking down the Cinder Track (could be another gem to find) from Whitby to Robin Hoods Bay, and walking back along the cliff tops on the Cleveland way - It is my favourite walk in the UK. More so if you carry a few cakes and sandwiches from Bothams in Whitby.
Enjoy the new year.
We're visiting in February so your great snapshot vist has been perfect , well filmed and produced thank you 😊
ОтветитьWhitby looks so gorgeous! Great video with helpful information. I'm heading to the UK on vacation for a week tomorrow and I'll be staying in Whitby. I can't wait to explore this lovely coastal town, eat British fish & chips and take in all the scenery. I imagine it looks as beautiful in winter as it does in summer ⚓⛵🤍💙
ОтветитьThe fact that I’ve been to almost every Restaurant/Café you showed in this video…. 😮
ОтветитьOh dear, and you were doing so well, until the face nappy shot outside while browsing the shops 🤦🏻♂️ really a cloth mask outside in the fresh air 🤷🏻♂️ what is the point 😷
ОтветитьThis video really helped us plan our trip to Whitby. We found the boat trip especially useful. Cheers for sharing 🍻
ОтветитьI will be heading too Whitby to Marc Almond country at the end of October. Is there a James Cook/Dracula museum in Whitby. And can you get a regular bus would you know the fare also to Goathland.
ОтветитьI’m going to whitsby next week lol
ОтветитьWhitby is my favourite place in the world and this video helps me explain to friends and family why AND this also included some attractions Ive never seen before despite going several times for the steampunk festivals they have in whitby. This vid was delightful, thank you!

ОтветитьWhitby is one of those few places in the world that should always remain the same. Such a beautiful city. Really nice folk. Would move there in a heartbeat.

ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing! Visiting the North of England in Late May to June and can't wait!
ОтветитьThe north of england is so beautiful and underrated with the lake district, yorkshire dales, and high peak. and then with Newcastle, York, Whitby, Lancaster, Liverpool, and Manchester. It's a beautiful part of the country.
ОтветитьWow! Great video. Am going to Scarborough this month and planning a day trip yo Whitby. This definitely helped. Loved how you showcased the place.. the editing and the narration... its just right and not to overwhelming like other vids I've seen. Subscribed.
