I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Burney for an evening in Rutland. He was kind and funny. His bravery in making this documentary segment is testimony to his courage as I think at the time I met him (this was originally broadcast in about 2015) I think he knew that his health was failing and possibly didn’t have much time left. Although it was only for a few drinks with a mutual friend, he left an impression on me and I was really sad to hear of his passing. Being into something unusual but harmless is great - but having the courage to live openly as who you truly are takes bravery.
