You think this is brutal, watch the movie "Law abiding citizen". The main character was a father/engineer whose wife and 7 year old daughter were r*ped and killed. He hoped the system would give the murderer justice. The DA was more focused on preserving his win/loss record than giving justice. The killer was let go.

10 years later, the main character exacted his OWN revenge on the murderer because the system failed. He injected a toxin that paralyzes the victim to where they can't do anything, but they feel everything. The murderer was tied up, injected with various things to keep him alive for as long as possible, and was forced to watch his end via a mirror above him.

Why he didnt kill the murderer?
