ОтветитьI'm trying to figure out if the facial distortion that happens at a low focal length (say 20mm) is removed with a 2x digital zoom? I'm thinking no, it's just a crop in and doesn't actually make the face appear flatter. Anyway, that is what I came to this video looking for information on if my thinking is correct or not.
ОтветитьYou really don't know what you are talking about. Focal length is not measured from the front of the lens as you say. Do some research.
ОтветитьOne of Sony Mobile has 48 mm lens , how that lens fitted in mobile.. 4.8 cm gap required
ОтветитьFocal length is referring to a fixed value (prime lens, mm), while zoom is referring to a varying value (zoom lens, low mm to high mm), but they both bring the subject closer to the camera.
ОтветитьIn layman's terms they're the same, they both get closer to a far away object and thus have a narrow field of view. Technically speaking... we can argue till tomorrow :))
ОтветитьYour explanation made everything click for me!!! So perfectly explained
ОтветитьPlease show more illustration as more as possible, because I can't understand English
ОтветитьSo what is the focul lenght of that canera you are grabbing? Is it 24 or 105? This is what still confuses me.
Ответитьso... if i'm not mistaken, the "zoom" means the delta or the difference between the changing of focal lengths from one value to another, and focal length is the distance between your tip lense to the senso.
zoom means ability (process), focal lengths means value (result).
am i correct?
Great video, straight to the point!
Ответитьomg!! thank u!! so clear !
ОтветитьI'm a newbie. And that's clear in 2 minutes and 32
Ответитьi just changed it to slow speed.
ОтветитьThanks! Quick and informative!
ОтветитьExplained so clear and concise! Thank you!
ОтветитьI feel stupid asking this but if i understood correctly zooming a adjustable lens to 50 mm will give you the same results as a prime 50 mm right?
ОтветитьBy far the clearest explanation of focal length within shortest time. Very useful. Thanks much.
Ответитьfocal length is not what you said. it not the distance between the front element of lens to the sensor. It is actually the distance between the focal point and the sensor. focal point is the point where the light rays which passed through the lens converges and then it diverges to hit the sensor something like this:
|><))===
..
"=" light rays
" ))" lens glasses
"><" point of convergence
"|" Camera sensor
Very nice explanation, regards from Brazil !
ОтветитьSo they mention the zoom factor instead of the highest magnification to scam us? Great
ОтветитьShort and clear I love it!
ОтветитьIf I compared 2 identical lenses, that only differed in focal lengths being Prime 24mm and Zoom 24-70mm (set to 24mm length), will they perform exactly the same?
Ответитьthanks man
ОтветитьNice job! Thanks for the info, too.
ОтветитьThanks , it cleared everything in my mind :D
Ответитьbro, you are a genius
ОтветитьHello!
Could you please explain the f number / f stop ?
Nice explanation!
ОтветитьWell done!
Ответитьreally short but helpful video..
Ответитьokay, well you answered one of my questions. Now I have next one = what is the difference between two lenses with same mm number?
ОтветитьClear and concise as always. Thanks for the explanation.
ОтветитьIm a photography enthusiast and knowing the camera parts and functions makes a difference. .
ОтветитьAgung hapsah masa kecil
ОтветитьSir I am from India so i did understand your language if you would speak slowly then perhaps I could understant
ОтветитьAmazing video, count me as a new
subscriber!
I want to know if I want to take a photo of someone (portrait) then shall I move back and zoom or stay in front and take photo?
What will it effect on the photo?
Do you know or can you tell me how to calculate magnification using prime focus with a telescope? 1250mm focal length scope attached to a D3200 camera? Or do you know where I might find a formula?
ОтветитьThanks. Told me everything I needed to know. Quick and to the point. 👍
ОтветитьThe information in your short videos is very useful. Thanks for the clear explanations.
ОтветитьVery good content. Thanks for clarifying my doubts for the longest time :) SUBBED!
ОтветитьCan you explain canon 700d 8 function modes ?
Ответитьvery nicely explained in plain english... well done :)
Ответитьfinally, thanks
ОтветитьPersonally I think we should get rid of length and use angle of view which is the farrrrr more important measurement number. Infact length really means nothing as this changes without affecting perspective by using different sensor sizes.
Ответитьgreat
Ответитьi still have a doubt. so the zoom for a 18-55mm is 3X and for a 75-300mm is 4X ....does that make sense??? then how the later can zoom more than thr first one?
Ответить
