No recording , only streaming , are you going to watch cameras 24/7 ?

Does this still work? When I entered the code and restarted HA it told me generic camera is no longer supported and told me to remove the code. It sees my cameras but it never brings up the live stream. So I don't know what's going on.

I am not a security expert, but I would not use WiFi cameras in security contexts (watching your pets no problem). Wifi could be jammed before an individual gets into view of a camera. That said, I do have a Reolink wifi camera but use it only to watch out for our toddler when we are preparing food in the kitchen.

Miss your videos Zack, been trying to add a Reolink camera snapshot as an attachment to my gmail. been trying unsuccessfully for weeks. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you.

Tomorrow I'm getting a i5 computer with 8 gigs of ram especially for Home assistant. How many full HD livestreams can I setup at the same time to show next to each other in a single dashboard? And will it help when I upgrade the memory to 32gb? The PC has a SSD installed in it.

if you have the modern camera with 8k, Reolink uses H.265 for encoding not H.264 ... I've tried a lot of combos but can't figure out how to get this to work in this setup

Also, why are your cameras not refreshing? Is that a problem with your cameras or with lovelace?

how often does the live view in the tile of the "live" view update automatically?

I right click on the image, select 'copy link address', paste in 'still_image_url'. check configuration. Go to hass check with 'unavailable' results.

Hello. I have a question. After integration in Home assistant, can this camera trigger automatic smart scene after motion detection? For example, to trigger a smart switch with a siren.

Hi, thank you for this video, very helpful. I don't know why if I add two camera (different brand) in my configuration file, I can see only one in my entities. If I comment out one the other works!

You can also use the ONVIF integration without any YAML coding required.

Great info. I'm new to HA and just started to learn how its works. I will be working with ReoLink camera later this year. I see one of the cameras you are using is 5mega pixels. I suspect you might get better video latency performance if you use the Sub Stream RTSP for small image display.   The card image quality would not suffer.  Blue Iris uses the sub stream trick to improved composite GUI viewer.  Then when you shift to a full screen view you can change back to high resolution main stream

Dont follow this guide, add them with ONVIF integration so you also get Motion detection and PTZ / Zoom :)

if your loading the main camera feed to a mobile device I'm guessing you gould use lots of data
with reloink you can also load the sub stream, less data etc

Did you try ONVIF? As far as I know with ONVIF you will get the motion sensor too.
